Fehrman Knives

From a legal point of view, if a company promises a lifetime warranty then it is a lifetime warranty whether they change their business or not. But the catch is that only the company that gave the warranty or made the representation that there would be a lifetime warranty ( two distinct things) is liable for it. So if the company is no longer operating or no longer has assets and the new operation is a different corporate entity then finding legal liability would be difficult.
But as a business practice and as a matter of business reputation, the warranty should be honoured regardless.
Great knives. The chance of breaking one in proper use must be fairly small. I have an old Hood with the pot notch. I knew i should have got 2 from the Doc, may he rest in peace.
