Fehrman Last Chance or ZT0100?

I love my Fehrman but it is the polished, not coated blade. For my money, spray on coatings don't hold up that well over time as opposed to the deposited coatings like the Zero tolerance. I prefer bare steel to any coating . . . of course, I'm not a ninja.

Also, the Fehrman blade shape is MUCH MORE USEFUL in the field than any recurved blade.

That said, buy what you like and use it 'till it wears out (if you can)

Fehrman, Probubly the Best knife on the market in terms of all around toughness, usefulness, and comfort. I am still amazed whenever I chop or cut with my First Strike. That said, I am really thinking about a smaller Fehrman for bushcraft. I would also say that I agree that recurve blades don't really work as well for woodscraft. I would recommend, as second choices in the same type of catagory, Busse and Trident....both very tough knives and great companies. Gene

Fehrman hands down. gunknifenut said it best, probably the best all around knife on the market. I have 4 Fehrmans and love every one of them.
