On Oct. 26 I placed an Order for the Spyderco Bushcraft from Fenix Outfitters. They had it for the best price I could find. I never dealt with them before and I am usually skeptical of doing business with the least expensive place. However a friend on the forum got his from them and said everything went well.
So last Saturday Dec 5th; when I still did not receive the knife I started to get nervous. I checked the tracking # they sent when they shipped the knife on Monday. The usps website stated the knife was delivered Dec 3 at 10:36 am. What a bunch of crap. I have my knives shipped to my job since I am always here and it is the safest bet. I immediately called the post office and had them launch an investigation. I spoke to my carrier this past Monday and she doesn't remember a package. The post ofice called me yesterday and said that the package was delivered and it is my responsibility. My mail carrier today says, "sorry but I am sure if I scanned it, it was delivered." So for the 1st time in my knife buying life, I have been screwed by the post office.
So about a half hour ago I decide to call Fenix Outfitters and let them know what happened. Maybe they have insured it and I can salvage some money or something. I spoke to Zane the sales mngr. In the time it took me to right this he has already refunded my money in full.
I mean WOW! I never expected them to do that and IMO they were not responsible for the USPS loosing my item. They shipped it in a very timely manner and sent email verifications once I ordered the knife and again when it shipped. You can't ask for more than that right. But to go above and beyond by understanding how there customers feel and refund my money in full; they have earned my business for life and I will go on and recommend them to every one I know any chance I get.
Thank you Zane and the rest of the crew at Fenix Outfitters.!
By the way, if that knife does wind up showing up in the future. You better believe I will be sending the money back to Fenix Outfitters.
