Khukuri Monster; Where is this video of Bura forging? I would really like to see that

>>>>>>>

Unfortunately, there was a problem with the video of Bura forging. A brown spot emerged during the crucial footage, and the images became unclear. It is speculated the film was too thin at this point but no one really knows for sure. We need to send the damaged footage to a good audio visual lab, to determine if it is all copies of Bura forging or just this one.

but it makes a hellufa wound channel & never runs out of ammo!

Maybe I am wrong about this, but wasn't one of the reasons that the original YCS's were pulled from the regular lineup was that the kamis seemed to have trouble getting the wider but lighter blade tempered properly?

And didn't someone once post that for some reason I forget that they don't have to be quite as careful in tempering a thick blade because of the way the heat moves thru it?

I would think it has to do with the tempering, not the fact that a thinner blade would bend. I have had or used a number of big blades from Eight Dollar Mountain Foundry and Mineral Mountain Hatchet works, on wood that has bent some of my khuk blades and had no bending or rolling and they only use quarter inch steel. I think the khukuris chop way better due to their weight and design, but every now and then you get one that is too soft. Also I have had lots of thin edged khuks that would chop extremely hard wood and never roll or bend. So I think it's just a hit or miss thing.
