FFBM Chopping some today.

Cool pics... thanks for sharing!

The FFBM... there is NO substitute! :D

Great pictures man! Nothing like a FFBM session. Get the icepack and advil ready for your shoulder...:p

Can we expect a chop/saw off???...:D

I did one today and it wasn't even close.

It was like I could have let the BWM start while I took a smoke break then after I was done start chopping with the FFBM and still beat it. :D

That wood was some very hard dense stuff.

That is a thick beast of a knife, and with the edges you put on your blades...I am sure it performs at the highest of levels.

this is why i love my FBMLE - the FFBM felt just a little too heavy for me, but take that same blade and put a full flat grind on it, and it chops even better and feels light and agile (comparatively speaking)... Then for lighter jobs i turn to the HOGFSH or my newfound friend, the NMSFNO -- now THAT would be an interesting chop-off: HOGFSH v. NMSFNO... Hmmmm.... Place your bets!

That would be interesting.

600 isnt too bad.

That's not too bad. :D

It was a Cedar tree, so yeah it was very tough, I will finish it up tomorrow with both knives and post more user photos.

The Sage is finally starting to move on my BWM.

I could not for the life of me get a bald spot on my NMFBM sage, I was trying my hardest too, I chopped and batoned for hours.. the most wear was a little chip of coating near the spine from batoning.

It's really getting smooth on the BWM, I will beat more of it off tomorrow on what is left of that Cedar tree, maybe I can make some of it go away. :D

Yeah I got it very smooth, but it still wouldn't show bare metal. Planning on stripping it?

Oh I got plans for that one I can tell you. :D

Going to the SPA to get Urban Shadow Camo and hopefully Black/Tan G10 Mags.

That's if I can talk Amy and Garth into it.

Then my Tanker Gray/ Black canvas will be my user.

I love that urban shadow camo, if I didn't hate coating so much i'd send my knives to get recoated in it. Your CGFBM is one of the nicest i've seen because of that coating.

Thanks. :)

I love that Coating, it's either than or DC for me. :)

I can thank Jerry, Amy and Garth for the awesome job on it.
