FFBM Chopping some today.

I'm glad you took my advice, I think everyone should get to at least handle a ffbm at least once. Words can't describe the way it feels inthe hand.

Yeah you are right, once you pick it up it start screaming at you to go chop something. :D

It just feels like pure power.

Finished up the cedar tree today with the BMW. Then cleared some brush with both the FFBM and BWM.

I got 2 blisters from the BWM handle, one on my pinky and the other on my index finger, 1st ones I ever got from chopping. I still say the BWM handles need to be thicker :grumpy:

The Fusion handles are much more secure to me and my hand doesn't slide as much when chopping. ;)

I hit a rock with the FFBM....

You know that terrible clinking sound....

It's OK though, just rolled the edge a little, won't take long to fix it.

I feel bad for that rock:D

Well it was 2 pounds of blade coming down with a lot of force behind it, and I mean full swing to cut through a sapling, through the sapling in one hit and into the ground, thats when I heard the clink.

I guess we all have different hands and chopping techniques. I prefer the BWM handle to the FFBM handle. Nice pics.

Sounds like a good experience when you think about it. Now you really know how strong that edge is right:thumbup:

I know that ain't no factory edge on that BWM. Nice work!

Thanks. :D

I put a nice 30 degree edge on it, it's holding up very well, no rolling etc from chopping.

I haven't hit any rocks with it either..... :o

Nice chopping session, Ankerson!

talking about hitting a rock, etc.: when I limbed off our christmas tree, I hit the tree stand, wich was made of steel...the CGFBM literally sliced off a piece of it with a nice, clean cut, and there was nothing on the edge...
