Received my IW Bush Hermit today. I am very impressed. The handle ergonomics are excellent. blade shape is ideal for a multitude of tasks.

I can see myself carrying this blade into the Australian bush with a sense of security. Even though these are just first impressions, the blade instills confidence in the user. I have a feeling that I will like this a lot.

No worries Abe, its really more of a community thread so we can all share our first impressions of Andy's new Bush Hermit. Your's is a beauty. I can see why Andy mentioned that he thought you would really like it. Awesome spalting on the steel & the grain of the IW handle is simply superb.

Man, Hasco, great shots there. I had a dud with a big chip out around the Bullseye so I got to keep one finally. And by the grace of God its Osage over nat with white. Woot! I love this model.

Lol,I don't even know if Andy will still do seconds any more at this point. Years ago he would, but you had to swear a blood oath to never let the knife go onto the secondary market
