Fiddleback Adventures - Post Your Photos Here

Looks like you guys had a great day. I Love that OD Hermit. It could only get any better if it were on my hip.

I need to just buck up and get in line, a LH would fill some holes in the axe collection.

the LH axes are a dream. Check Knife Center and Garrett Wade. Liam just sent them batches of the bearded and non bearded belt axes. It's a perfect camp axe.

Yep I noticed that. I could go for a bearded hatchet since it differs from my current hatchets. I do have a bearded carving axe, so I wonder how the geometry differs with Liam's belt axe.

I better not wonder too hard though; it might be a while before dealers get a restock at the rate he's getting orders in.

welp, i just spent the last 25 minutes reading all about LH. great. thanks for that. lol. seriously though, i hadn't heard of him. quite the story.

Yeah I want one of Liam's axes but I never chop enough wood... that may not stop me tho haha

When y'all are carrying and using these knives I'm happy. This is what we make them for!

great pics hasco:thumbup:

Thanks Phillip! A lot of times when I am out in the woods I am with kids teaching, so I don't carry a camera. I usually try and snap a few pics with my phone quickly. Sometimes they turn out good and sometimes not. These weren't the best but I thought I would post them anyways. The production duke is a great all around knife. Probably the closest to a one tool option that I have owned. I would feel confident throwing it in my go bag for sure. It performs great for many tasks, is relatively light and has good corrosion resistance.

After visiting with my wife's brother in Ft Lauderdale, we traveled south for a little Urban Adventure on Miami Beach. We had lunch at the iconic Fontainbleau Hotel, which took me back to a business conference I attended at the hotel in the late 90's during the filming of a Sharon Stone & Sylvester Stallone movie called "The Specialist". What can I say, Sharon was smokin hot and Sly was, well.....short :

Here is a pic of the beach right off the boardwalk that runs behind the hotel:

Since the beach was crowded I had to wait till sunset to take a knife pic to make it official. Didn't want to alarm any of the hotel guests:

On a side note, Miami Beach was bracing itself for the influx of 20K or so fans coming into town for the Ultra Music Festival at Bayfront Park. A little too "Techno" for our taste, however, if you google it you'll see that Miami really knows how to throw a party.
