I've always preferred the straighter handle of the HB on the bushboot/HB blade profile. But as the bushboot had been getting a lot of good press recently I thought I'd give one of mine a fair go this week.
An O1 example from a few years ago in Buckeye Burl, this was a 'second' discounted because the Burl hadn't performed to Andys very high standards. It's growing on me, might even cause me to break out the Osage version....
A random shot with glass of freshly tapped nectar from the coconut palm...sweet and alcoholic but turns to vinegar in a couple of hours

How was that considered a second? I really like all the colors in it.

I believe Andy had to fill a tiny area where the Burl created a void whilst shaping. I don't notice it. The yellow liners really pop with the buckeye scales.

I'm really into the resurgence of this model. Its one of the old ones that never needed much re-designing. Just a good knife.
Love the patina on this one. So much use; so much character.
