i scored this guy last week, from a guy over at knife forums.... i have been wanting one of these ever since andy posted a pic, of one of the first ones he made....:D

this thing rocks... great work once again andy... i'm soo stoked to finally have one of these, it's going to make a great field knife...

it's got a 4 in. O1 blade... green micarta scales, with red liners and a micarta lanyard hole... it also has one little mosaic pin... this knife is rediculously comfortable in the hand, i've been useing it in the kitchen quite a bit lately.... the smooth scandi grind is shaving sharp... it also came with one of andy's awesome leather sheaths.....

i'll try and get some more pics up soon....

That knife looks stout! Mike. It appears very basic and stout, like it's begging for hard use. How thick is the steel? Who makes it?

Fiddleback makes 'em! Freaking cool. I've already posted my green eyed-ness elsewhere, but I really want to save up for one of those. I think a tab more 'point' and about 3.75" would be sweet.

The blade is 1/8" thick.

Good to know you got one Mike! Now I'll get to hear user stats from you, right??? Mike is an excellent owner because he really uses the knives!

Andy is making me one as well. I love them. Looks great!! Please post a review on edge retention ect. Don't beat it up though. They are so darn nice lookin'.

thanks guys...:D i love this knife... i'm really excited to finally have one...

it's been seeing a lot of kitchen use lately... cuts like a light saber..
i probably won't be able to get to deep out into he woods, until i know what the heck is going with my knee...:( hopefully soon, i'm tired of being a gimp:mad:, not to mention the fact, that i have a lot of crap going on in the beginning of the year....

Hey, MM! Nice knife, Fiddle puts together some very nice users! I have two of his nessies and love'em!

Sorry to hear about your knee... gonna have to have surgery?

Andy

I'd just about slap the Pope to get hold of a Fiddleback Nessie or a Skookum Bush Tool.
Alas and alack...I nay have the funds to make such a haughty purchase. So I will resign to dream and drool over pics of other. Atleast until I can get my forge up and burning again! My hammers are gettin' anxious all stored up like they are!

:D:D:D LMAO bro.

I like that Skookum Bush Tool also, btw. Haven't pulled the trigger yet for same reason as you.

thanks for all the compliments folks....:D this thing rocks... fiddleback makes some great hard working knives....

Here's another to add to the drool-fest. I scored this one a couple of weeks ago in a trade. It's one of the early ones with green micarta, ss pins and one mosaic, and pale yellow-green-pale yellow liners. I have to mirror everything Mike and others have said here and stress how comfortable this knife is. I was so thrilled to get this one.

Andy, I had contacted you about one of these but never got back to you. If it's okay, can I get with you after the holidays and get on your list for another one of these?

I've noticed that you've made some changes to the design since this one. Can you share some thoughts on that? I know the handle looks a tiny bit short on this one but it has no effect on the grip and versatility on the handle

i like that one marcelo.... nice sheath too.... yours looks like it has a tad bit more point than mine....
