Fiddleback Collections

Here is my newly started modest collection.
Arete in Bocote.
Hiking Buddy with natural micarta.
Hunter in stabilized maple burl.

Very nice start! I think Bocote is under appreciated. It's has a great pattern.

My collection. All I am missing is a Bushcrafter....for now.

Martin

Great collection Martin. I love the liners like others have said.

What's your favorite?

Thanks Thurin.
I love Bocote's dramatic dark brown to black appearance.

Thanks, Thurin

It would be between the Hiking Buddy and the Hunter. Too tough to pick.

I love this thread. Finally I got to see all my Fiddlebacks together as I have to keep them away from you know who or she who must be obeyed. ;)
So here they are.

Nice collection, Mick. Love the scales on the Woodsman! Is that a Big Paw Bushcrafter between the Hunter and Woodchuck?

That is a very nice collection Mick. Great variety of knives and handle materials. My favorites are your Bushcrafter and Sneaky Pete. Thanks for sharing the photos.

What model(s) are left on your wish list? You have done well in just a few months.

Hey Phil
Thanks for the kind words mate. I love the Bushcrafter and the SP too but I think my favorite is the Hunter in the African Blackwood.
As for the models I would love to aquire they would be the HB, Runt and the KE Bushie but then again anything that I don't already have would be nice ;)

Very nice Tribial. Love those bolsters! some fine examples of g10. And the OD with Orange and the lanyard is great. Pretty Kephart too.

Some of mine before the purge

That bone white with maroon bolster over natural canvas is such a classy color combination. You got some nice spalting on that one also. That is just a great looking knife. I know that you will enjoy the heck out of that one.

Thanks for sharing the group photo.

Thanks Thurin! It was nice to take some photos outside without a winter jacket too!

I feel like the neatest aspect of this thread is how quickly some of our collections evolve. With so many willing to trade, plus the flea market, you can add and subtract to create a new collection in a matter of weeks. From my last collection update I've already dropped 5 knives and replaced them with 6 more! Might be time for an updated collection post...

Id like to see it! Yeah as I was going through all the old friday posts and looking for all the knives I have had the honor of sharking it really struck me how much my fiddleback tastes have evolved in the last 7 or 8 months I have been collecting. Not to mention how much fiddleback forge has evolved! I feel like the most recent fridays have been so great, and twwaked just that littpe bit to really raise the bar. Great work Andy, Ken amd crew. Thanks for all the fun, and the work you put in!

Man, I love going through this thread and looking at all of the various models and configurations. I sometimes scroll back and forth through this thread for an hour in the middle of the night :) Very nice collections guys!
