 Beautiful Blackwood collection Abe!

I'm loving that African Blackwood collection. Its one of my favorite woods to be certain.

Yes sir, if I had to pick a wood to start buying for knaf handles, blackwood would be at the the top of the list. Looks so nice with a natural bolster

I keep a record of all the Fiddlebacks that I have owned, however briefly, not very detailed just model, handle materials, tang type, steel/thickness and where they came from/went. I was updating the list recently and realized it had passed the 100 mark. It seems appropriate that the 100th Fiddleback that has come my way is a Hiking Buddy as the HB, along with Kephart and Camp Knife were the models I researched and identified as the models i wanted to try when I first discovered Andy's knives a little over 3 years ago. After trying many configurations I have decided that 1/8" is my preferred thickness for 3" models and that, although aesthetically pleasing, a tapered tang isn't a requirement. This particular Hiking Buddy is just about the perfect 3" blade model for me. I love hardwood scales, natural/blue liners and the grind is right about where i want it on 1/8" stock with classic spalting. Love it!

Jules, That is a superlative HB example!!! I need to group some Fiddlebacks into collections... I have HB in ironwood with blue pinstripes I got from WT years ago, she's one of my favorites for the trail!

Thanks Will. Please do post some of your amazing Fiddlebacks although I reckon you'll need a super wide angle lens to capture your groupings!
