Fiddleback Collections

Great collection Tekton, i must agree with Abe...that Camp Nessie gotta be one of the best that i know of....

Thanks guys,
Fridays are generally quite busy for me at work and I'm never at my computer.

Somehow I managed to shark the Camp Muk using tapatalk on my smartphone and the Nessmuk was still available after I got home, I didn't claim it until after 7:30!

Very happy with both of them.

This is a great thread! I really enjoy seeing all the beautiful knives and the choices all of you have made. Some of you have very refined tastes and amazing sharking skills.

I posted a pic of my collection in this thread last year (I think), and it is amazing how much it has changed since then. At its peak, my collection consisted of over 15 Fiddlebacks. Now, I have eight (including one WA Surls knife). It is not that my attraction to Andy's work has diminished. To the contrary, I actually think I like Fiddleback more now than ever. However, after owning and using many of the models I have discovered which designs and configurations speak loudest to me. With that in mind, I have narrowed my focus and only buy the knives that fall within the narrow criteria that is my personal "grail." I am pretty sure that I will never sell the knives that I own now. I think that I am not alone in my narrowing of focus as my Fiddleback obsession matures. In looking at many of the collections larger and older collections, it is easy to see the preferences of the shark.

...anyway, three glasses of wine with dinner makes me verbose. Here is my current collection:

I have also narrowed my collection down to a double handful, Meaning I can hold them all in two hands if I try hard. I may rotate a couple out if I find ones I like better but for the most part they are keepers.

Warrior, what's the date on that pic, 2009? :D

That's funny! But the Collections thread is mostly 2014 material and then goes pretty quickly through 2015 and 2016. I like those guardless Runts. I edited the post above with the date and a link.

Just kidding... the point is that it's been a long time since Bud had only 4 Runts. :)
