Fiddleback Collections

I work round the no duplicate rule by reminding myself that no 2 (handmade) Fidddlebacks are the same!

Mother Nature grew some photo backdrops on the stumps around our fire pit. Called for a 'best of' from the runt collection.
Also came across this old thread on the Exchange. Andy describing the green shadetree runt before everyone new what a runt was – good stuff:

Dang Harland! That's a super nice group. I've been considering a number of these larger models and this is really helpful seeing them next to that Terrasaur and OS Ladyfinger. Thanks for including the descriptions/models too.

Thanks... I'd actually have a pretty hard go of it trying to decide which ones were my favorites if I had to narrow them down to just a few or even five!

Thanks... You can send me a PM if there is a pattern in particular would like to see compared to another with them both being laid out on a "measured grid" mat.

It just occurred to me that Ferrox is the big brother of Bourbon Street Skinner.
They may look somewhat similar in the photo but the handles are actually quite different and the blade profile of the BSS is upswept with a swedge while the Ferox has a downward sharpened clip. But then again I guess they both would fall into the "fighter" style class...

Wow!!! Very nice collection PolRoger
Thanks... I've seen many fine photo/sample knives in various threads out of your collection too.

Matching Woodsman, Duke and Hunter in a very classy configuration, bravo Sir...Bravo!
The Duke came first and I ended up rather liking that particular combo once I had it in hand. ;)

This may not be the place to ask, so feel free to direct me to the proper post should this be the case.
Since coming to the Fiddleback community I've acquired a fair amount albeit small If not tiny compared to some of you long timers here. I've found I can no longer keep my acquisitions in their current location. So I'm asking how are you guys storing your collections. I've thought to use an old brief case and line It with some type of foam. I thought about finding a larger version of my bullet proof cigar travel case.... but I'm not finding anything large enough. Thanks in advance
Douglas
