Fiddleback Collections

Mail came with the Goucho and DPR so I decided to take a picture of all my fiddlebacks.

Thanks Fiddleback crew and everyone in this community for making this a great hobbie/addiction!

I like you collection... You have made/picked out some fine examples from the Forge!

I'd be interested to hear some of your thoughts/opiniions regarding your two most recent additions (the DPR and Gaucho)? And maybe your BSS too? I'm rather partial to the handle design on the BSS.

First mail call of 2017. Added the drop point Renegade and Woodsman to my small collection.

This is what happens when you go on vacation for a week and a half but still buy fiddlebacks... a mail call like this:

Nice lot Heespharm.

I recently got a $550 ticket and court date for having a fixed blade on me in public. I was carrying the knife in an ISP sheath and I believe somebody complained to a couple of cops walking by.

It is becoming increasingly frowned upon by law enforcement here in Australia and will have to revisit my collection.

Wow that really sucks... first the guns now the knives... sometimes I take living in texas for granted... I still take some safeguards like only using really deepcarry sheaths so only 1-1.5 inches pokes out... and only carry the edc sized knives in public

Wow looks like Australia has some pretty draconian knife laws.. I hope you can think of an excuse to carry it (for work or on your way fishing??) before your court date... it even mentions maybe jail time!!!

"Police will also no longer have to prove in court anyone found with a knife in public is breaking the law.

Instead the accused will have to give a reasonable explanation for carrying such a weapon."

"Reasonable explanation'" #1---It's a Fiddleback! What more do you need to say?

It has me worried, hopefully my clean record and being an upstanding citizen helps.
Well apart from the fine there is lawyer's fee.
Won't be carrying a knife anymore unless I'm actually going fishing or have a genuine reason to. I'm sure the magistrate would not look kindly on a repeat offence if I'm caught again.

Just carry a lime at all times and tell the office you need to cut it.

I'm sorry to hear that, Abe. I wish you much success with the outcome of your case.

We look at knives as tools. The majority of the world does not. More and more, I think it is best to keep my knives (and other tools) out of the sight and minds of the general public.

Damn I hate to hear that!! Come to Texas, we got room for ya!

That goes for Nebraska also. Heck you can open carry a huge Claymore sword here in public if thats your thing 👍
Pretty much all the states that are in the middle section you can count on being freedom loving.

Thanks guys for your support. Much appreciated and I might just take up your offer/s [emoji1]

I am sure I will get away with a fine after speaking to the lawyer. Just a shame that I cannot carry my favourite tools anymore.

That really stinks Abe. Sorry for your hassles.

Is there such a thing as getting a carry permit .. for anything?
