Nater, I couldn't agree more. Cancer sucks.
Will continue to remember you. Keep your chin up bud. You got this!

folks,
please pray or whatever you choose for the Hinesley family. They are family friends of mine. Preston lost his bout with liver & lung cancer hours ago.

He was one of the finest men i knew. He & his wife did everything they could possible to comfort my mom & I when my father passed away suddenly 5yrs & 6 days ago. They were the ones that drove us home from the hospital after we found out the terrible news.

I take comfort in knowing that him and my dad are together right now & hopefully can muster something up to save the Dawgs season, which is what they loved to do together

Hey Phillip. I'll say a prayer for you and the family.
Take care of yourself too. Things are seemingly very stressful right now. You're doing a great job in your new position.

BTW, I'm not a Dawg fan, but I'll root for 'em as well.

Sergio

I've been trying to post an update to this thread, but blade forums refuses to allow some of the content that's in the post apparently. Who knows why. Same issue happened when I tried to send it via PM to someone.

You guys are like family to me I want to give an update about some stuff going on in my life and why I haven't been as active lately, but I guess you're going to have to read it on a blog post I made. I know it's probably against the rules to link to it, but since BF won't allow the content, it's the only alternative I could come up with.

Sorry for the long read.

Sorry to hear this Nathan, prayers sent, and thoughts with you man.

I just got back from the visitation at the funeral home.
All I can say is WOW

I knew Preston was a awesome man but, never knew the scope to which he had affected people's lives.
We waited in line for 1hr 45 mins to pay or respects and when we were leaving the line was just as long.

He will be missed by many. I noticed the City Hall in the town I'm from and were Preston was the Postmaster had the flag placed at 1/2 staff/mast in his honor as I drove my mom home tonight.

Sorry to hear about the loss of your friend Phillip. It sounds like Preston will be remembered by a lot of folks. Sending prayers.

Tod
