So my preschool aged son helps a little girl up the top step of a tower with a slide at a park. She is a 5 year old blonde. She turns to my boy and says "you are nothing to me" then plants her little white boot onto my boy's stomach and shoves him off the tower backwards for an 8' to 10' fall. He has been getting x rays for head and neck and seems to be banged up but ok so far. Under observation for a few hours... When I told her father, the girl says "he was in my way". The father tries to scold her a little but the girl is in total control. She is cold, fellows. A turn of bad luck and this could have been much worse... Wish us a little more luck and hopefully all will be clear before discharge.

Vayu, if it's any consolation, the real memories don't really start until about age 12. That's a neat part of the human being that gives us parents a chance to learn and make mistakes. So, no worries. From what I've gathered after my two, as long as they are still breathing, there is pretty much no harm, no foul. Don't fixate at what could have been. Think about what we used to do as kids and what folks would say if they found your ten year old with a knife and a bb-gun... Times are different, but kids are still kids....

Hey Vayu,

I'm glad your boy is alright. I guess he's learning some harsh lessons about pretty girls early on.

True! She will be a heartbreaker, or a neckbreaker. Got discharged a few minutes ago. Thank you for the kind words.

Thats just plain sad Vayu. Hope she sorts her act out before age is no longer an excuse.
All the best for your son.

Brutal event Vayu, specially for preschool. Hard to believe one so young can be so cold. I'd hate to meet her mother, since dad is not in charge. Hope your boy has no lasting effects from the fall. If nothing else, kids are resilient. Dang girls are either breaking heads or hearts...tough lesson early.

Hi Vayu,
Glad that your son is ok and everything came through clear. My best wishes and prayers with the little guy.

Just sharing some good news with my buds. We finally made it to the beautiful white sand beach to celebrate being done with chemo and radiation! :)
