Fiddleback Flea Market Feedback (Good and Bad Trades and Sales)

Opening a dispute simply means you are giving the seller notice of an issue and giving them the chance to respond. There is no action from PayPal unless 21 days has passed and either party requests review.

Have you ever sold items via pay pal? The one time I had someone file a dispute against me, erroneously I might add...as they eventually admitted that they had made the purchase under the influence, then freaked out when they sobered up. Anyway, when they filed it, my pay pal account was immediately locked down. I could neither take money for sales nor send money for materials. I couldn't even simply refund them their money (which they didn't even bother asking for) until said dispute was settled. It's not a situation any business man will take lightly, and it may well affect who is willing to do business with you in the future.

Kirkwood, I first contacted Bonafide about the sheath via the PayPal resolution center because that is where the sale was made. Once a dispute is opened, the buyer and the seller have 21 days to resolve the dispute privately. At that point, either party may request a review from the PayPal administrative team. Opening a dispute simply means you are giving the seller notice of an issue and giving them the chance to respond. There is no action from PayPal unless 21 days has passed and either party requests review. I was hoping Bonafide would email me and ask what the issue was. He decided to accuse me of fraud here which simply isn't the case. He is also ignoring my personal messages. For this reason I decided to close the case 6 hours prior to his first post about the issue. The money is simply not worth the time. He has not lost a dime and neither will anyone doing business with me here.

I have to give you the benefit of the doubt that you thought that was the proper course of action. But if I had purchased something listed in a sale thread from a paying BF vendor and had issues with the product, I would have definitely contacted the vendor before opening a PayPal dispute. Not taking a side on this. Only you and bonafide know the truth. All we can do is ask questions.

Admit you're a liar.
Admit you have sent 0 messages to me concerning a improper fitting sheath.
Admit you filed the FALSE dispute.

I save everything. My wife complains about it, but being in law enforcement for 27 yrs has taught me one thing; Keep Hard Evidence on file in case some psycho tries to make false accusations against you.

All of your psycho PM-bombing (which I saved) would have stayed behind the scenes, but when you filed that Fraudulent Paypal Dispute against me; I'm showing the public your true colors.

I want to point out, Vayu is now going back and editing his replies .. over 1 hour after posting the replies. More evidence of deceptive practices.

Send me Sheaths B & H back UNUSED Jarrett and I'll refund your money.

I will not withdraw my LIAR accusations. I have absolute proof of that. You are a shady, emotional character and I am letting the users of this forum know it.

I would hope that here in our friendly little Fiddleback community, that if someone had an issue at all with a purchase from one of our own, that it would be handled personally via email, PM or phone call and not through filling a paypal dispute. Something's just not adding up. Vayu, why not contact Bud directly. Why would someone file a dispute from what I can tell is against both sheaths you purchased if only one was bad? And try to sell them at the same time? And now they're of "poor quality"? I thought that one of them didn't fit the knife you wanted it to fit? We're you trying to resell sheaths that were poor quality? Did you advertise them as such in your sales post?

Paypal disputes don't need to be involved until a last resort. If you didn't want something, contact the seller, he can easily do a refund without a dispute. If that goes south, then file a dispute.

Here are the facts:

1. Bonafide has over $700 in sales from me

2. I have a sheath I am particularly unhappy with mentioned here, and some I did not mention here that are passable

3. I open a resolution through PayPal. I reconsidered the issue and closed the case 6 hours before his first post here

4. I am publicly doxxed on Bladeforums and implicated in fraud that simply did not occur

I contacted the buyer directly and told him that the sheath listed in the picture had imperfect fit but that it could work under some conditions. Then I sold him a different sheath. So in point of fact I have the product in my hands and it is distinct from any other business I have done.

Bonafide and I are not communicating effectively via private messages resulting in him ignoring me. There was some name calling on both sides. It is entirely unrelated to the sheath sales except in so much as Bonafide cannot distinguish the two since they occur at similar points in time. I would be happy to work it out with him privately. No current PayPal case is open. However, if a PayPal sale is made then that is the current medium for resolution of any sale.

I think you're missing the point. Resolving a paypal sale doesn't require a dispute.

Let me point out more info against Jarrett, yall keep asking why Jarrett wouldn't use common sense in his FALSE dispute. It is because it's a LIE. Jarrett is pursuing a PHD. He's not stupid .. he is arrogant and has a need to control.

His actions are a direct result of me filing a report with the Mods against him for harassing PMs. 9 PMs in 24 hrs. The PMs were concerning my sneak peek threads. Jarrett doesnt like them because some of the knives I happen to photograph are not available to him on Friday. He blames me for this. He blames me for sharking them from him. He got emotional about it and says he's stopped purchasing knives and sheaths because of it. I ignored him for several PMs but he would not stop. So, I replied, advising I am not part of the Fiddleback crew and to please stop PMing me. He ignored my request and sent more and more ...

ALL of that would have stayed behind the scenes .. but he filed a FALSE Paypal dispute against me. File it again Dr. Jarrett. You're only heaping up more evidence of you are distrustful and will lash out against someone if they do not let you control their forum posting. You showed up and instantly started taking over the fiddleback friday threads ... and people's flea market postings.

His full name is <personal information removed by request> - there aint two of him. Google search him.

Send the sheaths back UNUSED Jarrett and I'll refund your money. Otherwise, GPUAR.

I am withholding any further comment on this issue until the doxxing behavior is discontinued.

Personally, I'm good with this. Seems like it has hit the broken record part of the debate anyway. I can't speak for anyone else, but I reckon I've heard enough...

+1. PayPal dispute = "I'm telling Mom!" Not cool.

Yep.

I would like to add one thing here, for whatever it is worth, to whoever is reading.

I have been getting sheaths from Bonafide for just over a year now. I have only gotten four due to my financial situation...however none has ever failed to fit the knife it was advertised to fit, and I have yet to have an issue with any of them.

Last thing I'll say on the subject.

Filing a dispute with Paypal over something like this is kinda like calling the cops 'cuz the neighbor's music is too loud. It may be a "correct and accepted" way to resolve the situation, but I personally think walking over to the neighbor's to discuss it first is the best way to resolve the issue. Kinda keeps the peace in the community you probably want to be a part of a little better.

For what it is worth, I have had dealings with Bud and Jarrett and couldn't be happier with either. I sincerely hope you guys can find a way to work this out.

I'd like to invite Bonafide to comment on the other $714.81 of business I have done with him over the past 6 months. It has been a pleasure doing business. I would appreciate it if you would remove the personal identifying information about me including my name, location, and professional pursuits. Keep the rest up as you see fit. Maybe we can get a beer sometime. In my opinion this is a private issue and will be addressed that way. Of course I disagree with the implication of fraud. No fraud has occurred. This is the public reaction of a seller to a customer who had private issues. To date, the issues have been resolved to the sellers favor by me, the buyer, voluntarily and privately.

Thanks,
