Fiddleback Flea Market Feedback (Good and Bad Trades and Sales)

Guys, I've had to endure a LOT of drama this weekend. Please cut it out.
 
To get this thread back on track, I just had a very nice experience with HWYSHREDDAR. Cool guy, cool wife, and payment sent lightning fast. Would do business again in a heartbeat.
 
Haven't posted on this thread yet so I'd like to state I have never had a bad experience with the 30+ members I have dealt with and class a lot of them as friends I hope to meet soon. I was lucky enough to meet Andy and the guys in Georgia few weeks ago and I believe the class and enthusiasm they possess permeate through the forum members. Cheers all.
 
Recent drama aside, I wanted to state that I've had some great dealings with Vayu. He's a stand up guy who goes out of his way for others in this forum. When the dust settles hopefully egos can be mended, and we can all see that one mistake doesn't have to tarnish a sterling reputation. Don't hesitate to do a deal with Vayu... just maybe wait until the fotki posts to get your heart set on a knife :D.

All kidding aside, Vayu and (i'll throw this out there) Bonafide are both great members of this community and deserve our trust and respect. Theyre both people i wish i could be more like.
 
I have had some wonderful and friendly transactions with Vayu. He was top notch!
 
I've also had god dealings with both Vayu and Bonafide and wouldn't hesitate to deal with either again.
 
Vayu is a LIAR and malicious. Proven.

Yall keep doing business with him .. it makes him feel special.

As I understand it, this thread is about providing feedback regarding purchases among our little community here. Your negative experience does not change the fact that others did have positive experiences, not should your voice shout down anyone with a different experience. A buyer weighing through this feedback about Vayu or any of the rest of us WILL encounter your experience, and that of others. It is up to the buyer to make their own decision.

Let's move on.

Never get your hopes set on one knife. I speak from experience going back further than most; it's just not worth all of the above drama. I have watched so many grails go by, just out of reach, and they've disappeared never to be seen again. Oh well.

Even if it's a Fiddleback, it's just a knife. Stay grounded people.

THANKS Michael. I was clueless til you pointed that out. Btw, let me clarify .. in my experience, Vayu is a liar and not trustful. Proven.

Believe it or not, I am not your enemy. Nor are many of the good folks here. I was attempting to say tactfully and respectfully what I'll say straight out here: let it go. You will not be permitted to rehash this every time someone says something positive about Vayu. I have no illusions about having any authority myself, but I've been around BF long enough to see others banned for such a activities. I have no problem admitting I will report you--it is destructive and against BF protocol.

I think you have added a lot to this community of late. I also think Vayu has as well. But it's not a competition. I've seen people screw up fantastically around here and be "redeemed," and I've seem the opposite. I believe we are all better than our worst moments. That's my belief, not yours. You don't have to believe it. But you do have to follow some basic rules of decency that are expected of all of us on BF.

So again I insist: can we move on?

Hemingway! Is there a fiddleback lanyard thread around here. I got some sweet beads to make a few lanyards. I need some knot tying tips!
 
I have bought from and sold to bonafide. They were all great experiences, and I couldn’t have recommended him highly enough.

Then couple months back, a cornflower blue hiking buddy with a black JouFuu sheath with pebble finish showed up on the flea market. I seriously considered buying the combo because the sheath matched perfectly with some sheaths that Bud had made for me in the past. The hiking buddy was pretty nice too, but blue just isn’t my jam. In the end, cooler heads prevailed, and Bud ended up snagging it. I’m like “what the heck I’ll message him and see if wants to sell the sheath”. He messages me back, and he offers to sell it to me for the more or less the cost of packing and shipping it. Mind you we hadn’t had but a handful of exchanges before this, and he offer to do that for me. But that is the kind of guy Bud is – a seriously good one.
