Registered users have the ability to post WTB threads. The mods do not want you to trade or sell your goods unless you are gold or higher in membership.

Unless they've changed that part of the rules by word of mouth and haven't edited the written rule yet.
D'oh! I'm contributing to the confusion. I misread that excerpt you posted and somehow inserted a "not." I thought seemed odd. Everyone please disregard my poor reading comprehension.

Ruby Woodchuck and Recluse are spf. Ithe matching OD and orange pair are still available. $550 takes both or $300 a piece.

Anybody have money and some stainless 8" or above they want to trade for the camp knife?

Looking for stainless recluse, kephart or I'll take a gander at Fiddlebacks in a tux.
Not looking for Asp, Sneaky, Bushboot, Ladyfinger, or a Shank.

Green burlap duke went to Comprehensivist; I potentially still have the green hunter (pictured) ; dependent on a 3rd party. I'll pm you to let you know the final outcome of the transaction. Its burly as all heck

I need shark advice. I am going to have a mass exodus sale shortly in the next couple days. I would like to sell everything as a group. Most are Fiddies, a couple are not. Can I post them as a group here?

This is straight from a mod.

"The buying and selling of Fiddleback items is allowed in THIS FORUM only under the Fiddleback Flea market which Andy is allowed to do since he has paid for it. Anything for sale outside of Fiddleback items is to be listed in The Exchange. There will be no exceptions to this rule."

You can post a link to your other sales in your sig line though.

This may already be resolved, but just to be sure we're all on the same page regarding who can post trade, sell, buy, etc. these are the rules as far as I know and come straight from the Rules For The Exchange & Discussion Forums - (All Rules Apply Site-Wide) UPDATED 3/1/14

PLATINUM or GOLD - Platinum or Gold members are allowed to post in any of the Individual For Sale or Trade forums. They may sell items in the For Sale By Individuals, and can list items for Trade as well.

BASIC MEMBERS - Basic members are not allowed to post items for sale. You may post items for Trade in the Wanted To Trade Forums, or post requests for items to purchase in the Wanted To Buy Forums.

REGISTERED USERS - The first level of membership. If you have not purchased a paid subscription, you are by default a Registered User. As such, you are very limited to posting areas in the Exchange. You may respond to threads where you mean to purchase an item, or trade. You are not allowed to create threads for Selling or Trading (but you may respond to existing ads). You do have the ability to create WTB threads.

Based on this:

Everyone including Registered Users can buy. Registered Users can post a Want to Buy. Registered Users cannot offer items for Sale or for Trade. So posts like "I have a Bushfinger that I'm willing to trade" are off limits for Registered Users unless they are responding to a specific Want to Trade post by a Basic or above user. GoldUser posts "I have a Kephart I want to trade and am looking for a Bushfinger". RegisteredUser responds with "I have a Bushfinger you might like for that Kephart" is OK.

Basic Members can post Items for Trade but not for sale.

Gold and above can post Items for Sale.

The Flea Market here in the Fiddleback Forums is to be considered part of the exchange and all the exchange rules apply. With the additional rule that Duder has mentioned:

"The buying and selling of Fiddleback items is allowed in THIS FORUM only under the Fiddleback Flea market which Andy is allowed to do since he has paid for it. Anything for sale outside of Fiddleback items is to be listed in The Exchange. There will be no exceptions to this rule."
