Fiddleback Flea Market

Putting these up to see what kind of trades they can wrangle up.

First, what I'm looking for a in a trade:

- Synthetic handle. Preferred configurations: Jade g10 over white ("doublemint"), green ("margarita"), or blue ("aquamarine," "blueberry"?) pinstripe; Cornflower Blue g10; Slate Blue g10; Emerald, Sapphire, or Electric Orange burlap.

- Prefer 1/8" steel on anything 4" or less.

- Models of interest are BC Karda, ED Karda, Bushraptor, Hiking Buddy, Arete, Nessmuk, Woodsman.

And now, the knives:

1. Nessmuk

2014 model. Crimson canvas over natural with a white pinstripe. 1/8" O1 steel. SFT tang.

Comes with Rick Lowe sheath pictured.

2. Bushcrafter

***TRADED***

Recently acquired this one and not totally set on the BC as a model.

2011 model. Emerald burlap over black. 5/32" O1 steel. Full thickness tang.

Has a bit of a thicker handle. Included a comparison shot next to my 2014 5/32" Arete for reference.

Obviously has Andy's older makers marks.

Noticed some grunge near the makers mark on the butt when I was taking pictures. Looks like some Flitz, toothpaste, or BK friend would take it off, but I wasn't going to halt pictures to do that.

There's another mark near the plunge line on the pile side that appears more permanent. Not sure how it happened, but that's how it came from the shop.

Burlap has some typical discoloration. I washed and wiped it in mineral oil the night before taking these pictures. The discloration was more obvious before doing that. One cool thing I did not know until after taking these pics in a little sunlight, the burlap is glow in the dark. I don't have camera capabilities to capture that. Don't imagine the whole thing lighting up like a torch. Think glowy patches.

Comes with what appears to be a Heber sheath, which needs some leather care.

info/explanation----- knife available here(bonafide/juju) i said the words"i'll take" ppal acct sent--$$$ sent-- $$$ was accepted then he wanted my address which i put down in/on reply to his e-mail. he says he hasn't heard from me --- he says tired of fooling with me and returns $$$ by paypal. is this the normal was of dong business on this forum??

Airing your issues here isn't normal at least... Never heard of any issues with bonafide and he has been great to deal with for me so I'll happily assume he is correct in what he says..

Bonafide has done business with me and many here on many occasions. If he says he did not receive your address, he didn't receive it. He tried reaching out to you and waited multiple hours before re-listing the knife for sale. If you want the knife, buy it. If you don't, move on.

I think it was a misunderstanding of sorts. It is normal and understood that some require a fast/safe transaction. It is normal and understood that if any party is uncomfortable the transaction can be canceled. Please don't let this become contentious. We strive to keep it all friendly.

Also this is a prime example of why a gold membership is a great idea, the added feature of PMs helps in these situations.

PayPal is a platform used to protect the buyer and seller. Bonafide mentioned that you had unconfirmed info and that makes I a risky transaction for him. This is a flea market . . . not mandatory sales! A seller has a right to pull out anytime they are not comfortable . . . a buyer has those same rights. It is his knife and ultimately he can do with it what he wants.

I've never had the privilege to do business with Bonafide, but hopefully someday he'll sell me one of his Runts ;), but they are his and he doesn't have to sell if he doesn't want too! Just like his scorpion! If he's not comfortable with the transaction he can decline! He's done a lot of business on this forum and seems like an honest upright guy. Let's not tear people down!

I'll keep this brief,

1. I reserve the right to not sell to an individual. I really need no explanation.
2.You failed to contact me. If you're having issues operating a computer, a browser, or email proxies .. that's your problem. Not mine.
3.You sent a Paypal payment from an unconfirmed address and you never contacted me with your address or a phone number.

Because of your shady behavior, I denied your payment and washed the deal. I don't have time to deal with someone who could possibly con me out or theft by conversation of $275-300 knife/sheath. Reputation on this forum market place is everything. You have a questionable one .. and i chose to pass dealing with you. You can publically bad mouth me all you want. I protected my interests. Nothing more.

I've been looking for a nice Nessmuk, preferably something with a green grip. Anyone have one for sale? Have they ever been made with the Margarita grip?

After the Scandi discussion.... I am in search of a scandi Arête, any configuration. If you know of one that might be available, I would be greatly appreciative!!!
