Putting these up to see what kind of trades they can wrangle up.
First, what I'm looking for a in a trade:
- Synthetic handle. Preferred configurations: Jade g10 over white ("doublemint"), green ("margarita"), or blue ("aquamarine," "blueberry"?) pinstripe; Cornflower Blue g10; Slate Blue g10; Emerald, Sapphire, or Electric Orange burlap.
- Prefer 1/8" steel on anything 4" or less.
- Models of interest are BC Karda, ED Karda, Bushraptor, Hiking Buddy, Arete, Nessmuk, Woodsman.
And now, the knives:
1. Nessmuk
2014 model. Crimson canvas over natural with a white pinstripe. 1/8" O1 steel. SFT tang.
Comes with Rick Lowe sheath pictured.
2. Bushcrafter
***TRADED***
Recently acquired this one and not totally set on the BC as a model.
2011 model. Emerald burlap over black. 5/32" O1 steel. Full thickness tang.
Has a bit of a thicker handle. Included a comparison shot next to my 2014 5/32" Arete for reference.
Obviously has Andy's older makers marks.
Noticed some grunge near the makers mark on the butt when I was taking pictures. Looks like some Flitz, toothpaste, or BK friend would take it off, but I wasn't going to halt pictures to do that.
There's another mark near the plunge line on the pile side that appears more permanent. Not sure how it happened, but that's how it came from the shop.
Burlap has some typical discoloration. I washed and wiped it in mineral oil the night before taking these pictures. The discloration was more obvious before doing that. One cool thing I did not know until after taking these pics in a little sunlight, the burlap is glow in the dark. I don't have camera capabilities to capture that. Don't imagine the whole thing lighting up like a torch. Think glowy patches.
Comes with what appears to be a Heber sheath, which needs some leather care.
