*GONE* Just a heads up, if you have been looking to pick up a Bark River Knives Recluse (designed by Andy, made by BRK) I've added the following to the For Sale - Production Fixed Blade section:

New in Box with KSF sheath, HOWEVER, the Natural Micarta Handle Scales have been slightly modified by me to more closely resemble the shape of FF scales. (If you are familiar with BRK, you know that their signature handle scales have a very flat top with hardly any rounding -- these have been rounded.) This was one of the last ones that KSF had for sale, I purchased it in August. If you're looking to add a perfect BRK Recluse to your collection this is not the one for you; however, if you want a great Recluse to use, and that feels good, and feels good, take a look. ***TRADED*** Happy Holidays.

I'll just chime in and say I think BRK's rendition of the Recluse is one of the nicest knives they made (no affiliation:)). Their convex grind A2 is tasty too!

the osage Bushfinger is still for sale. finally created a FS post.

I inherited it from a friend who died tragically in an accident i Malaysia a few weeks ago and I was contacted saying he had said I had dibs on his Recluse.

I'm putting money in his daughters college fund to make up for it.

Wow, special indeed! And a great gesture on your part. That's one I wouldn't part with!

Will keep it to remember a great guy and plan to bring it up in some snowy mountains he had yet to climb.

Should arrive in a week or two.

I'm very sorry to hear you lost a friend and we all lost a fellow Fiddleback enthusiast. It's nice to know the knife is being passed on to you though. It will carry a very special sentimental value. I can't imagine the mixed emotions when it arrives.

You have my sympathies bud.

Thx. Will post some pics of it in use when it has gotten some mountain time. I think he'd appreciate it being used in placed he'd love to see.

Wow. Sorry for your loss. I've had many friends pass very abruptly. Some I have pictures of, others just memories. My old buddy Roy did leave me behind an old Buck knife when he passed. Every time I carry that Buck, the day is filled with laughter and memories of the good times we had. Roy and I had some crazy times and we did some high flyin' stuff together (he was always crazier than I). When ever I carry that knife, I always try to tell a Roy story with who ever I'm with, in his memory.

A blade is a very special thing to inherit. I hope your Recluse brings good memories and laughter into your day, as my old Buck and Roy do for me.

Great knife story for Christmas NoFair. I know it is one you will treasure; I have one from my Dad that makes me smile every time I see it, even though it's nothing special as a knife.
Thanks for sharing with us.

TRADEDArete for trade. This is literally a catch and release. I just received this from the Christmas batch. It's a beautiful knife and one that I really wanted but it just doesn't quite fit my hand. The handle is a bit slimmer than what I expected.

I'm looking to trade this for a (same condition) Bushcrafter. (Not a Bushfinger) I'm also interested in a Recluse or Terassaur or ??? A cash + Arete deal for a larger knife is also possible. PM an offer...

TRADED I'm not too eager to lose this one so I won't be putting this on the Exchange.
