Nice snag on the thin Osage Ladyfinger...that had me worried I was gonna accidentally buy it! Of course, the Scandi Bushfinger also has me scared. Can someone please buy it and save me from myself?

Thank you. It matches a Bushcrafter I have. I am really into "thin" lately. I recently acquired a 3/32" Nessmuk and it has opened my eyes to the thinner stock. I'm not a scandi fan, however, I think a scandi on such a thin blade will be a great opportunity to try a scandi again.

I'm not really into thin or scandies lol, but I agree. If I ever do get another scandi it will definitely be in 3/32. I'd say a scandi 3/32 KE Bushie would be about as close to a Mora as I would ever want to take to the field :) I'd love to just handle the one-off KE Bushie Willic snagged a while back. That thing looked really sweet.

Still hunting for a Karda if any of you guys have one you can stand to let go!

* Little extra cash for next Friday can't hurt :)

Mist, mostly working with soft woods where I am, lots of cedar and spruce. Scandi works those up nicely, no problems with chipping out etc. I love Andy's convex too, but I'd really like to play with a flat ground Bushfinger on 1/8 with little or no micro bevel...my problem with Fiddlebacks is that while I like full height grinds, I love the look of the spalting...I can't win lol!

I can understand that. I don't have many soft woods around here to play with. So far EVERYTHING seems to be hard as rocks lol. I totally get that myself. I love full grinds, but I love the spalting too, so I am leaning more toward all 3/4 grinds from now on :)

Nice work dude -- that marblewood is pretty stuff!

Yes it is. The fact I snagged a marble wood duke on Friday made the decision easier. (Still haven't had confirmation from seller so fingers crossed)

Luckily for you Julian, that Hunter was very similar in appearance to the one I recently nabbed from crazyfingers, else I would have beat you to that one. Sure is a pretty knife though. Nice catch.

Yeah if its the same duke I am thinking, its the only two Andy has done recently in that handle combo. My OCD congratulates you on a matched pair!!

Thanks Walt. Like I mentioned to you I'm going to be out of the country soon and have a chance to take the knives I have with me back to Asia for real use! Nice to tick a few boxes.

Hehe, thanks OCD. I'm not usually bothered about matching but for a couple of larger knives it'll be cool.

Crazy thing is that had I been a few seconds earlier on that Duke, I probably would have nabbed the Hunter as well. I guess it all works out in the end. Safe travels Julian, and enjoy your new knives.

Cheers Walt. Safe trip yourself.
