I just responded to a very good email from crazy fingers regarding the "new" description but showing the knife stuck in a log. The log is dead and half rotted, I simply pushed the blade into the log, it required no more force than sticking into a piece of styrofoam. Hope that helps.

Yeah, it does seem a little nit picky at times, but to serious collectors anything that even slightly darkens the blade ANY at all totally null and voids the "new" descriptor, and they will bust you on it for seeing things like even just the tip of the knife stuck in a log. Some here on this forum wouldn't even touch it after that, and other will push for depreciation of the knife's value over it.

I for one cut something as soon as I get it out of the box.... i am a terrible collector.

I normally use 30 seconds to decide whether a knife is a keeper or something I'll sell/trade. If it goes in the user category it is immediately sharpened the way I like it and I often round the edges of the handles as well. I also try to use it as much as possible in the days/weeks after I get it, trying out as many different knife tasks I can to see how it performs compared to other knives I have.

Hey All,
I have two brand new catch & release knives that I've decided to circulate back into the wild; get'em while they're hot! :D.

*Also note, I am selling these for what I paid; pricing is pre-fbf price increase (10% as of last week); these same knives if listed in this weeks FBF would be ~$295 each!*

2. Sneaky Pete (Dealer Direct / USA Made Blades): NEW, Coffeebag Burlap over black canvas, white g10 pinstripe, SFT Tang, Convex on 1/8” thick 3D Spalted 01 steel - $SOLD!!!! STYD (I had purchased this while in the hunt for the perfect Sneaky Pete; now that I've found such a knife, I'm passing this bad a$$ knife on to you all... besides with three other sneaky knives, a fourth would make things go from sneaky to downright shady :D)

Please ensure that knives are legal in your state prior to ordering. Payments via paypal only at this time. Please send as gift or add 3%; this makes things fair as I am covering shipping and insurance for the full value of the knife, not just the minimum $50 that USPS offers. No trade offers at this time please.

Cheers & thanks for looking!

I'm looking for stainless tuxedos. Kephart, asp, bushfinger etc...

What ever you payed for it, I'll add $20 to it.

I can't believe I missed the Arete! What time did you score it at?

I'm thinking hard on the Sneaky pete. Any hints on what else you might post

I snagged it at 430, I think they went up at 4. Stabilized maple burl on black/white.

Other knives will be <5", >3", but I'd like to get some looks on the first two prior to listing them :)

Nice snag on the Arete! How high is the grind on the sneaky pete? Would you say it is similar to the one in the photo? Thanks.

Yeah my first burl; I had picked up a burl SP for my dad and have wanted to try the material for myself since then.
