Fiddleback Forge Knives “Woodsman “ Passaround

I hate being put on the spot.

I really don't want Andy to be away his knife that long.

We wanted to keep this around 10 people, but we had a feeling that would be impossible.

I would hate to leave anybody here out.

So instead of 4 days, lets pass it on after 3 days. that should get Andy's knife back to him in about 2 months from when we start.

So if Andy is cool with 14, which judging by the folks here I think he will be we are; we are set.

I will keep you posted.

I should have the knife soon and will post my pics with in a day of getting it and hand it to the next person. Which is Marcelo, he lives about 4 bvlocks from me. The knife will move from the East to the west and then back to Georgia.

Please email me your info, if you haven't allready. I want to get started on the list.

Andy, thanks again for letting us passaround this beautiful knife, and I am honored that you chose me to run this for you.

So does that mean Texas Tony is in too? He's a great guy! And a moderator (never hurts to suck up a little) LOL.

Thanks to Andy and Tony for setting this up! Let's have some fun.

Alright guys. I'm very excited about this passaround. My first, btw. What I'd like to see is for y'all to use the knife. I want the knife to come back to me nice and broken in!

Who-ever posts the best bushcraft review and pics will get 50% off of any of my models. I'll even let you choose the handle materials.

I very much appreciate all y'alls input! Thanks for participating, and special thanks to Tony for running this for me!!!

I am very Excited to be apart of this and for me This will be my first time handling one of Andy's blades ...I can not wait to hold the handle and use the blade....

Son of a gun! Already got to fondle the beauty of it? You lucky devil! C'mon now, fess up, is it as awesome as it looks? I own one Fiddleback that I just scored of a fellow forumite and it is suhweet as hell!

It's awesome. I didn't do any cutting with it, just played with it for a few minutes. It felt perfect in the hand. The bulge in the handle is just right. Gives you a terrific grip. The knife is very well balanced. It's just awesome. I can't wait to use one.

Just a quick suggestion.

Insure for 201

According to the PO the insurance only covers the knife from the time you send it to the time they deliver it.

So if it sets in your mailbox while you are at work and somebody steals it you are out of luck.

HOWEVER, if you insure for anything over 200 bucks then the PO requires a signature and will not leave it in the box.

IMO this is much safer.

Also:

1. You must promise to ship the Woodsman knife after 4 days of possession.

I don't get home till after dark so if it is possible for me to have 2 of the days I'm supposed to have it on the weekend then I can go in my woods and take pics:tu:

The sole reason I have a PO Box at the local post office for my Knives & Gear shipments...Great Suggestion HD

I'm not worried if it goes over a day or three. I'm worried if it sits in someones den for 3 weeks.

Thanks for the approval Andy. I have been looking at your knives for quite some time and I am very excited to have a chance to inspect and use one during this passaround.

Paul

Tony, I will email you my info a little later today.

You're welcome Paul. I hope you like it!

Sounds good HD, insured for $201. it is.

It seams Andy is cool with the 3 or 4 day rule.

Like Andy said, I don't want people taking advantage of his generosity and forgetting about sending the knife on and have it sit for 2 weeks.

I don't think we'll have a problem with that in this group. Seams everyone here is up to the responsibility.

That Jwilliams guy worries me though;)

sounds good tony... 3-4 days and $201 insured it is...

email inbound with my address....:)
