We all agreed that it is a medium thickness handle. Not thin but also not thick. Maybe that helps?

Pretty sure it is Box Elder. It can be hard to tell once they've been dyed, but I believe it's box elder.

I've checked that recently. Stainless HBs don't seem to pop up very often...
