Fiddleback Friday - 01/02/15

I will take the Badger with Black Ash burl over black with white pinstripes, Tapered Tang, hollow ground on 5/32” CPM 154 - $280

I will take the Wasp! Wow can't believe it is still there. Now just need to figure out where Kirkwood sold his Kidney.

By my count, the following are still available. Better act quickly!!!

The karda is a great knife, and the texture on this is wonderful. Loving the dark bacon style.

2015 0102 04 – 3 Finger Karda w/ Bacon burlap over black w/white pinstripes, SFT Tang, convex on 1/8” spalted 01 steel - $265

With Python this is just a cool little knife, and 1/8" is perfect for the HB.

Valkyrie nailed the pattern and coloring on this. Just a sweet, large, Dutch vs. Predator type of knife.

Eagle One with OD Green micarta over OD green w/ white pinstripes, SFT Tang, convex on 5/32” 01 steel, 11.5” oal, 6.25” blade - $275

2015 0102 21 – KE Bushie w/ Cocobolo handles over natural w/ lime pinstripes, Tapered Tang, convex on 5/32” spalted 01 steel - $340

What y'all think about the durability of that curly oak? Really user or what?

I would consider it a user. As long as you make sure the handle is oiled or waxed before wet weather trips or doesn't dry out and crack it should be good for yrs of use. Or decades. I've been eyeing that Duke too but I already grabbed the Burl Nessie today....

I'd make a bet that it is stabilized and up for about any task you have or adventure you could put it through! Plus, there is always the stellar "if it doesn't make you happy" Fiddleback warranty.

The curly oak Nessmuk I have is stabilized, as a point of reference, although the forgemasters can clarify. That golden oak is like a shot of sunshine straight to the heart.

That would change things a bit but they usually write that in the description of that's the case.

Andy and co usually use stabilized curly oak; with that said, I've had 3-4 knives in it and of those have used 2. Both performed great and held up fine to kitchen and camp use with proper care (wash, dry, oil, wipe away) after use.

Grab that Duke; it's pretty spectacular!

I am shocked the Python Micarta Hiking Buddy is still there. We have an esquire with the Python Micarta. I don't think pictures do this scale justice. It is wickedly cool in person!

Ok, Ok, I can't take it any longer..... She's just too pretty! Makes me sad, her sitting there unwanted.... Send her to Virginia!

How has nobody claimed that knife from Valkyrie yet?

Eagle One with OD Green micarta over OD green w/ white pinstripes, SFT Tang, convex on 5/32” 01 steel, 11.5” oal, 6.25” blade - $275

I'll take it! Adam does amazing work!
