Fiddleback Friday 01 11 13

Great batch. That antique nat can Kephart is really tempting me. Is the lime green pinstripe as awesome as I imagine?

Wow...I would be happy with anyone of those knives. Beautiful batch Andy. Really digging the handle combos that we usually don't see. The Coco is my jam, but the nat can with lime. real cool.

Man, I've been gone for a while and they just keep getting better. Been saving up some cash too. Decisions, decisions. Think I'll sleep on it and if what I'm looking at is still around I might be inclined to add one to the Fiddleback family. Time will tell!

Congrats Andy on yet another superb batch !!!!
my god I now start understanding and feeling how dangerous a hobby this forum can become :) wish one day I will get filthy rich and buy it all :D
I really start to like the F2 hope one day I will find some more $ to get one of those....Can someone please explain what is the intended purpose for the F2 considering the blade shape ???
(I offend go fishing I think it would be good for that....)

Cheers,
Ronny (Denmark)

Hey, what's up Craig? Haven't seen you in a while. I was just thinking about you when I was touching up the edge on the Hunter. The sheath you made is still doing awesome man!

Andy,
I will take the 2013 0111 013 – Bushfinger, Cocobolo over black g10 with orange g10 spacer, Tapered Tang, Convex on 5/32” thick steel - $290. Thank you,
Guido

You got it Guido. Thanks!

Hey Mist and Andy,
Glad to hear the sheath is still goin strong for ya man. After about a year off I finally got a little shop set up in the basement and bent some leather for my Recluse. Man it really felt good to get back into it.

Andy, I'm going to go for the stabilized Maple Bushfinger this time (2013 0111 012 for $250). It was between that one or the HB, but the maple really jumped out at me and after seeing Mist's review of it I gotta have one for myself. I'm up here full time now and workin days so I'll stop by the shop this week and pay ya for it. Maybe Tuesday or Wednesday.

Mist, I gotta check my stock level but if I have enough leather I'll make two sheaths and send you one for your bushfinger. Same as last time, foldover lined with deerskin. I'll hit you up and let you know.

Really good to be back and hear from ya all.

Andy, is there any way you can edit the post to show which blades have been sold at this point? Thanks, and what a killer batch! I should be receiving my Kephart in Dyed Curly Maple today and will put some pics up when it is in!

Cheers!

Man, cool. If you can come at lunch, we have a great Mexican place we go. Thanks for the purchase.

No need to thank me dude your knives are awesome. Did put a dent in my S&W 586 fund, but its worth it and i can build that back up in a few months. Dude, tell me it's the mexican place right around the corner on Veteran's across from the PD. That place rocks! Carneceria Hernandez I think it's called.

From last weeks batch 2013 0104 013 – Bushfinger, Stabalized Dyed Maple Burl, Tapered Tang, Convex on 5/32” thick steel - SOLD!

This Bushfinger arrived today. The dyed maple has a lot more character in person than is depicted in the forum pics. I really like it. A friend of mine has a full tang Bushfinger and there is a definite difference in the feel of the overall grip toward the rear. Fit and finish is spot on as expected with Andy's Fiddlebacks. It's been quite an adventure obtaining this Fiddleback purchase due to my own indecisiveness starting about four Fridays ago. Thank you Andy for your patience and understanding over the past weeks. It turned out great, it's of the flavor I wanted and I can't wait to put it to work. Thanks!

Glad to hear the sheath is still going strong. It's nice to be back after about a year. Had to settle in with the new move and job and all. Took a little longer than I wanted to get the shop up and running though. Just picked up a Bushfinger from Andy so I'll be bending leather again soon. If I have enough I'll make two sheaths and mail you one for yours if you'd like. Same as last time, foldover lined with deerskin. Good to hear from you man.

Dude, and don't take this wrong, as awesome as that sounds and as much as I appreciate the offer (the Hunter sheath is reeeally sweet!) I really don't know if it would work. The handle of the Bushfinger has evolved since the beginning. Mine is that of a Ladyfinger so I don't know if a pattern made for a current one would even work out right. Secondly mine is in one of the last sheaths Andy made before he stopped making his own sheaths. So having an original Fiddleback proto in an original Fiddleback sheath is pretty darn special to me. I do want to get a custom sheath for my wife's Hiking Buddy at some point in the future, but I am still studying the needs there, since her desire is to have one that is neither square bottomed nor pointy. Women...they'll drive you nuts sometimes I swear!
