I think you are right "mistwalker", I have not seen a 5/32 either actually!
"CapitalizedLiving", I agree, 1/8 is the way to go for the most part ...
I have a bushcraft knife that was made in England by Mick Spain. It's a nice knife, and a near clone of the Woodlore, that is a scandi in 5/32 O-1. It has the potential to be a better "survival" knife due to the potential for more lateral strength, but it's definitely not a better slicer or carver than Andy's 1/8 scandis, and yes it is a little more work to sharpen.
