Fiddleback Friday - 12/09/16

Since it doesn't seem likely that anyone will accidentally give me a windfall by depositing money into the wrong account, I really wish someone would take that Forager. Maybe I will spend less time sitting here staring at it and contemplating bad things :)

My exact thoughts on the Osage HB. It's haunting me. [emoji16]

I am more of a micarta guy and Fiddleback Forge does amazing things with that material. If the Duke in this weeks offering was in micarta, it would have been mine.

For work I prefer micarta handles. The maroon Bushboot I have pulls a lot of work duty these days. For aesthetics and my art projects I prefer wooden handles. As for the Forager, I just really want to play with a damned forager lol, and can't even come close to affording a burl handled one right now. If I was willing to pull the right stunt, and alienate my wife and daughter...I might be able to pull this one off...the little voice in my head just keeps saying it's the wrong time of year for that. Too cold in the doghouse this time of year :D

Ha! I know this all too well! However, as you said, it's cold in the doghouse this time of year. Which is why I'm trying to distract myself with some coffee, a pipe and an uneasy trip down the Anduin. [emoji3]

LOL, I know what you mean, I'm heading into the kitchen to put the Gaucho and a couple of others to use making an afternoon tea of pancakes, sunny-side-up eggs, and smoked bacon for my two Hobbits, and hang out with them a while today since they finally decided to get up and stir around after playing video games late last night. Couldn't hurt to have them in a better mood just in case I screw up :D
