Fiddleback Friday 2/21/14

IF SO!!! I will take...

2014 0221 007 – Recluse, Bone white linen on natural canvas micarta, SFT Tang, Convex on 1/8” thick 3D Spalted 01 steel - $255

KephaC, the formal EDCII arrived today, and I love it. Thanks for the second chance.

I'll take 2nds on either or both Hiking Buddies! :)

-Will

Looks like my Friday Afternoons might be full of meetings for quite a while! :( Sloppy Seconds for ole' Will!

Thanks I've been holding out for a camp knife but I'm thinking that the Duke in 3/16 might fix that!
FYI...The camp is a lot heavier and robust than the Duke!! The Duke is a really cool knife though. If I had to choose between the two I would go Duke myself....Gordy

It has friends already here. Sorry, that was my first choice, and the one I got.

I want to hate you, but you clearly have good taste. :D

I'd already decided I wanted a bolstered Big Sneaky. Preferably in stainless, but not much chance of that. It's getting crazy around here, though. Big Sneakys used to move slow, but that one disappeared within 2 mins of Andy posting - I shouldn't have been telling people what a great design it is.

I have the Sneaky Pete, and love it. I wanted the big brother to complement. Sorry man, you seem like a fine fellow. There is always next Friday. I think I am Fiddlebacked out for a while. I need to focus on pants now. I will be watching next week and might bump some old FbF threads to up the excitement, but I need to evaluate my next move for a while. Sorry that there where not enough to go around this week.

Another great batch, and I'm late to the party again. Wow All sold now as well? The bolsters today were all great, and some beautiful wood. Congrats all on the scores.

Geez. Congrats to whomever grabbed that ironwood nessie. What a beautiful freakin' knife!

Where to start?! Damn that box elder Bushcrafter is sweet, the Asp is just an awesome creation, all of that ironwood looks amazing, the Wasps are just something else, the Toothpick is a great looking knife, and I'm sure I missed a few. Hell of a batch guys!

Unreal. I am flabbergasted. We have sold out again. Thank you all so much for supporting Fiddleback Forge, and watch the dealers. We have shipped over 30 knives to dealers in the last two weeks.

I'll take the Cornflower if she'll have me. :o

Wow

For real. That pinout is something else, and the bocote with bolsters was a Ken Homerun!

You got it MVM. I'm glad you're having fun. I am too, and want to thank you and everyone here.

Ok, this was so much fun this week, I especially appreciated all of the false starts with the old FbF threads. You guys are just evil, but fun.

I agree. I'm having a great time!

You mean the teaser Bishops????? :D I'll take one....

What teaser Bishops do you speaketh of?

this is for payments right fiddlebackpayments@att.net

You got it! Thanks CF.

It's really frustrating to log in a see the knife you want yet someone snags it first, fair game no foul. Log off and then come back to see the action and see the purchase withdrawn, and then snagged by someone else. Do we need to start asking to buy anyway so that we are next in line if the first buyers withdraws their purchase? Not trying to stir anything up here, it just seems that more and more members are snagging knives and then after thinking about it backing out. Given the way Fiddleback Friday works, it makes it really frustrating to me. Sorry Andy if this seems out of line but I think it needs to be said.

I think there is not a way to make this kind of process totaly smooth. Still, I have fun with it, and hope you do to. Give me a call J. I'll make you an asp.

IF SO!!! I will take...

This is the kind of post that warms my heart. This Big Sneaky design is fun.

It is something to behold I think Bill. Thank You!

That is all of them folks. Thank you for your support! I am grateful for it.

Thanks Gordy -- tracking on that, but ironically I've been surviving (pre-FBF) on a just a spyderco, bow saw and leatherman in some pretty rough places. Despite me telling myself that I "need" a camp knife, chances are that my new Duke or Woodsman will meet or exceed my needs for just about anything I will encounter! Although... There's probably always going to be an open spot in the collection for a camp knife :D
