Fiddleback Friday 2/28/14

Boy am I sorry I missed all of these. The drunken burlap, both those awesome hunters, the little runt(they never stick around!) Comprehensivist I will gladly buy that Big Sneaky off you of you ever decide to sell, match the rest of my reds. I just can't seem to be free at the right time anymore and there seem to be a lot more sharks in the pool since I started a few months ago. Congrats Andy! You deserve it. Great scores EVERYONE today, congrats all around.

I was hosting a work event all afternoon and just got home, so no chance to ride the Fiddleback rollercoaster today. I do want another Big Sneaky, but I want one with a bolster and fancy wood, so I wasn't upset to miss the Burlap. If it had been black ash burl with a contrasting bolster and butt cap, I'd probably be clawing my eyes out by now. It just keeps getting better from FF.

With most things gone within 2-3 minutes of Andy posting these days, though, I might have to re-adjust my expectations of buying another Fiddleback until I am able to become a man of leisure. Anyone know an eligible heiress who's not too hard on the eye?

Man, I was mistaken. The Bushfinger that I sharked last Friday is in fact 1/8" SFT in maroon. I only received it on Wednesday, and I got too many knives last week that I was confused. I received some pants last week for Kephart, Recluse and other 4" FbF knives. This AM I was trying all of the pants on when I realized that my Bushfinger was 1/8".

It is no problem though, the wood handled one will be my Sunday go to meeting Bushcrafter.

Next and subsequent Fridays, I think I am going to log off after may sharking, and not log back in until 8:00 or 9:00 PM so that I am not influenced by your "I can't believe that the xyz is still here in abc handle." My mom always told me that I was too influenced by peer pressure:).

Haha -- well she's a stellar example none the less! And, yes, the 8-9pm lockout is a good idea. For every knife I +1, Andy sends me more butcher paper, jute twine and business cards lol. I've been paying my sharking staff (at my sharking command center of course) in FBF business cards, while I'm managing to heat the house with the butcher paper and twine! (sigh) I guess I'll have to find a new victim.

I heard that. I just can't really judge a knife until i put it in my hand. They all look good and id like to feel them all before i pick one to take with me. I'm going to Coast Rica for 6 weeks so I really need a good one in stainless. I was able to to get a Hiking buddy in 01 and a Bushfinger in 154 so we will see how that turns out this week. Still looking for a Hiking Buddy in stainless.
 
So, whoever snagged that maroon BF want to sell it to me?

I hate my job sometimes, missed out on my dream blade from another maker this week, and am NEVER home when these get posted.

I picked up an EDC and a runt, want to get cracking on finding a sheath for them before or shortly after they arrive, it's gonna kill me not to be able to carry them when I get them. Anyone know the blade widths of these two models?

You joke, but take a look around the net at some Busse knives that originally sold for around $300..

You lucked out with that knife, it's a beaut.
