Fiddleback Friday - 9/6/13

Never mind...

Gawd, you guys are fast!!

Thx, D-R

You had the Sneaky Pete I think.

Andy,

I think you meant to say bushboot on this one:

2013 0906 001 – Karda, Tuxedo, Tapered Tang, Convex on 3/32” thick 01 - $195

If it is indeed a bushboot I will take it.

Nope. Thats a Karda. Sorry.

Great batch as usual Andy. Some sweet looking wood in here.

I'll Take:

2013 0906 013 – Woodchuck, Osage Orange over natural canvas with a thick orange stripe, THICK HANDLE FOR BIG HANDS, Skeletonized tang, Convex on 5/32” thick steel - $275

Good grab! Nice seeing a thick handle knife.

Andy - Ill take that Karda - can I come get it?
2013 0906 001 – Karda, Tuxedo, Tapered Tang, Convex on 3/32” thick 01 - $195

Hi everybody,
I just signed up to the forum today hoping to snag a fiddleback. Everything looked fine on my computer this morning, however I only have access to an iPad right now and the pictures are not showing up, just small boxes with gray outlines. Does anyone know a fix for this? My apologies if this isn't the place for tech questions, but I was hoping to get an answer before the fresh stock runs out and I figured this thread will get a lot of traffic today...

Payment sent for the 2013 0906 012 – Woodchuck, Bloodwood over black g10 with a lime green g10 pinstripe, Skeletonized tang, Convex on 5/32” thick steel .......Thanks Andy.

BTW...I don't care if you want to wait and send the Sneaky Pete you will be working on and this one together to save on your shipping costs. Send me an email and let me know. fshnfool@comcast.net

NOOOOOO I missed the bloodwood again! That woodchuck looks awesome!

Sorry TT...I just HAD to HAVE it if you know what I mean. I've been looking at Blood wood for awhile now and did not have a Woodchuck. I was actually looking for something else myself and someone else grabbed it before I did. Oh well...there's always next week I guess...!

2013 0906 007 – Bushfinger, Stabilized Maple Burl jover black g10 with a lime green g10 pinstripe, Tapered Tang, Convex on 5/32” thick steel - $315

I'll take it as well, if it's still available!

Well done, Eric.

Thanks Andrew. It's nice to see some more maroon linen around and you well know I have been trying to get a replacement after I sold you my maroon Bushcrafter awhile back. NoFair's maroon Ladyfinger/Camp combo that he is getting looks killer & I'm quite jealous. However this Bushcrafter will be a great addition.
Nice pickup this week yourself, thought you might get the matching EDC too.

You got it ES. Thanks!!!

Andy, paypal payment sent for (just to clarify because I was at work & in a rush to get my post in):
2013 0906 009 – Bushcrafter, Maroon linen over natural canvas with a white g10 pinstripe, Tapered Tang, Convex on 1/8” thick steel - $290

Thanks!

I was kicking around the idea of getting the EDC but I love the hiking buddy as my "small knife" so I didn't think it'd get any use.

Cool. You got it Willi. Thanks!

Seems like there's no 1/8 Kephart again, I'm sad for myself, but happy for those that got knives.

Can someone please tell me the length on the Woodchuck please?
Thanks

Here is Andy's intro for the knife a couple weeks back.

New model, The Woodchuck!!!-I'm so excited about this knife. I want to keep both of the convex ones real bad. Fun knife to make and grind, and just screams for Rick Lowe leatherwork to really set it off. I think this knife is going to excel at Bushcrafting. There is enough of a point to do most jobs like drilling. The edge is forward of the grip enough to allow for kitchen duty and is elliptical shaped, so its going to be great for slicing. It will also excel at game prep due to the sheepsfoot style point. The handle is 4.75" long and the blade is 4.5".

It might be a matter of opinion, but I still think Andy makes his best work with wooden handles. These knives are amazing.

That being said, I will not judge anyone who prefers synthetic handles. Enjoy your FB :)

I'll second that...both statements!
