Guys, I'm finally getting to the bottom of the stack on the fiery gem quality Maple I got at Blade Show. This last piece wasn't polished when I bought it. I could tell it was fiery, but the amount of depth and curl in this stuff is really nice. I have Hunter wearing it this week. Black liners and white pinstripe. The steel is 5/32" thick 3D Spalted 01 and the grind is a convex saberbrind. $325 shipped. I have Heber sheaths for these for another $40. I have another Hunter this week as well, wearing antique natural canvas micarta. Same steel. $300 shipped for the knife. $340 with a Heber sheath. (Shipping is included for US addresses only.)

Next up are the smaller knives in the batch. I have two Hiking Buddies this week. Reciporical colors, and opposite grinds. Natural canvas over black with whitewalls and Scandi ground, and Tuxedo config (black over natural) with a white pinstripe. I've also got an EDC wearing natural over natural canvas, and a Bushboot wearing black and blue. All 4 are base price knives at $200 shipped US. All 4 are ground from 1/8" thick 01. The final small knife is the EDKarda. It is wearing maroon linen over natural canvas. $225 for this knife. I have Heber, and Rlo sheaths for these. $40 or $50 respectively.

Last up are the Bushfingers. Four available today. Pretty ones. All on 5/32" thick 3D Spalted 01. White linen over natural canvas, Bloodwood over black, Black burlap over black, and maroon linen over natural canvas. The price for each is $250 shipped US without sheath. I have Rlo sheaths available for these for $50.

I also have this Arete. Mr. Westib, is this available, or is it yours?

Hey Andy,

I'll take the hiking buddy Tuxedo config (black over natural) with a white pinstripe.
do you have a photo of the sheaths so I can see if I want one.

Thanks.

Gorgeous batch Andy --

what are the differences between the Bushcraft Karda and the EDKarda? I'm still learning about your models and don't want to guess at the differences - the EDK looks very similar to the Bushcraft Karda I purchased a couple of weeks ago.

Oh wow. Another stunning batch! There are some really tempting knives in this batch Andy...especially that Bloodwood Bushfinger. I am so tempted to pull the trigger on that for my wife's gift knife...it is just so sweet looking. I still think the Bushfinger might be a LITTLE too big but BOY is that tempting. Let's see if it lasts long enough for me to reconsider... :)

That Maroon Linen EDKarda is SUPER tempting as well. I have REALLY been loving the Maroon linen stuff you've been putting out lately...it's just so stylish. Keep up the stellar work!

I've actually got two more knives. One I didn't take a pic of is a beautiful Scandi Recluse with African Blackwood scales. I didn't do the Scandi grind yet. That'll happen next week. I totaly missed over it in the tray. The second knife is this pretty fighter. Not for sale, just for showing. Sorry for the pictures. I have GOT to address the light box.

Hi Andy,

If Mr. Westib does not want the Arete, Ill take it. Thank you kindly.

Mark

That Fighter is a beauty Andy...man, your swedges got SERIOUS fast, didn't they? Well done.

Question related to this week's batch: are the Bloodwood scales stabalized or is that necessary with that wood? Thanks.

Thanks Andy, I for sure take "my" Arete Sir !! I have been waiting for this one a long time!! Will send PM soon!
Do you have a sheath Andy?
Andy

Yes, congrats awestib! Good things come to those who wait. That Arete is better than good though, so maybe we should amend that to "great, slicey pieces of steel" come to those who wait ;) Either way, congrats and ENJOY!

The EDK is considerably smaller in handle. Same blade.

One day I was tentative about swedges, and the next I felt I could grind any swedge. Those knives don't sell well on FF's, so I have made a few for special situations and not much else. Fun to grind though.

paymen sent. I sent the payment before I read your post so I didn't describe the knife but it is the Tuxedo config hiking buddy and the payment was sent from jvlajoy

Thanks,
Joseph

Hey Andy, that just goes to prove that you've got the touch and if you set your mind to it you can do it. You were definitely born to grind dude!

Not to bug you too much but did you happen to read the second part of the post? I was curious if the Bloodwood for those scales has been stabilized or if that's even necessary for that type of wood. Thanks for your help...I'm kind of still eyeing this blade for my wife, as I think if it's pretty enough she'll get around the fact that it's "too big" quick enough ;) That Bloodwood BF is a serious looker IMO.

Please just buy it already.....remove the temptation from me.

Haha RyanS you should be used to it! If it's not this Bushfinger it'll be another one. Andy will get you one way or another! It's a good thing though...empty your wallet with the rest of us hahahaha :p

That is a REALLY gorgeous blade though right? I wouldn't blame you at all if you scooped that while I sit on my hands and hum and haw. That's the dangerous game we play!

In my opinion, Bloodwood is fine as a handle material without stabalizing.

BUT then again, I really don't like stabalized wood.
