Bushbarb,
I'm liking that scandi BC Jr. Is 3Floyds a local brew? The Alpha King's knuckle tattoos are sweet.
Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Uncle_P and Scotcha!
And Uncle_P 3Floyds is a brewing company in Munster, Indiana which is about three hours from me.. They have a lot of really awesome artwork for their beers, i'm sure i'll be posting more of them in this thread.

My wife gets to do all the fun stuff. At least she brought home a couple of a favorite.

Nice pair for summer

My wife and I went to the Barnsley Gardens this weekend, and had many a fine brew. They have an impressive beer selection there. Beautiful place. We needed that.

Just got it today thanks to fogdart. Gonna put it through the ropes tomorrow making french onion soup. Ill post some more of my crappy cell phone pics.

And I can see why these are rare. I bet it was fun watching Andy put a convex grind on 1/16" bar stock.:D

how do you like it?

Hey Phillip,

I am lovin the Padre. It performed admirably with 5 lbs of onions and few cloves of garlic.

Quick question though, are you sure this Padre was CPM154? The onions left a patina very quickly on this knife. I have never seen stainless or CPM154 form a patina like that. I am wondering if it has to do with the tumbled finish?

 Congrats on scoring your Padre. Embrace the patina! I have, mine is O1 :D

Cheers!;)

Hey Gus:

:thumbup::thumbup: on the Hop Gun IPA by Funky Buddha in fact I just finished one with my lunch. I love the way this beer tastes with food. Have you had a chance to try out any other of their beers ? My wife and I are planning to make a swing over to the east coast and visit the brewery & tasting room in the next month or so. Your steel is looking good as well.

Cheers,

Peter

Thanks Gus. I do embrace patina and actually prefer it and love the looks of it on my carbon steel knives. I just was not expecting a patina to form on CPM154 stainless steel.
