Hello Folks,

This is the Arete's first time out, albeit brief. The knife was very comfortable and controllable in the hand and sliced very well. It did not have a tendency to bite or dig deep into the wood which made producing shavings much easier. It was a real pleasurable time indeed.

I hope you enjoy.

Mark

Now you're cooking newyork! :) Thank you for sharing.

I remember when you got that blade as I ended up with the green burlap Bushcrafter and coffee bag burlap Hunter from the same batch!

Cheers!

Fun With Bushcrafter

Ive been using the bark I tore off this half round as a backdrop for some of my fiddleback pics;
but I only used my bushcrafter to strip it.

Was lots of fun, knife was awesome; shaving and prying!!!

Here's my new 1/8" O1 convex Bushfinger. This was Andy's personal knife for a spell, and I can see why. The grind is well done, the handle is nicely contoured, and the thinner blade makes the knife a lightweight workhorse.

Here it is on a recent grouse hunting trip, hiked around the Harrison Lake area here in BC. No grouse, but I did find a nice section on railroad track to use as a better anvil than the sledgehammer head I buried in concrete!
