Wow TripleT, a live oak tree and azaleas. I didn't know you were in the South.
Beautiful pics! That patch really is sweet in the daylight!

Thank you for the comments. I love taking photos and trying to find the shot that most accurately represents what I am seeing, or that communicates something essential about the subject and environment.

That live oak is part of Washington Oaks State Park, on the NE coast of Florida. I feel like the whole park was built around the tree. Remarkably, the beach is only a few steps away from the gardens.

So I take pics today with the intention of throwing this one back into the tank. But man, I just can't. It's just so beautiful! So...nevermind. Back into the collection. But I can't let the pic go to waste.

Out trying to pull some snapping turtles out of our pond and the ladyfinger helped cut the bank line and it went through it like a hot knife through butter!

Sent from the pay phone beside the Quickie mart!

I know that tree well. Walked those gardens and across A1A to the beach plenty of times with my wife as newlyweds. Beautiful place and so unique. Nowadays life just seems too busy for us to get away. Man I need to slow down and smell the roses, or in this case azaleas ;)

Thanks for bringing me back down memory lane, T.

Several beautiful huge lives oaks scattered throughout Florida. The only panther I ever saw in Florida was in the early 70s and it was up in one. I've slept in a few of them over the years down there. Amazing trees.

Beautiful Bushcrafter. The maroon linen is so nice, and so hard to get the camera to see it the way the eyes see it.

Man, I can just about feel how well that Ladyfinger handles with that taper. Also, will I love the guardless variants at the cutting board, I love how the models with slight guards function in tasks like cutting line and cord, especially in the dark, with no sharpening choil for the line to hang up in. I incorporated that into a couple of my designs for some guys who serve in small recon units who move around a lot. They are always putting the camo nets up and taking them down in the dark, and have voiced a few complaints about sharpening choils cutting caught while cutting the camo netting at night.

New family member...sorry for the crappy indoor iphone shots...

Not crappy to me, I am always happy to see natural canvas and tapered tangs :) It is a Recluse or a Patch?

Mist, it is a Recluse... first time i have two knives of the same model. Fits great next to my 3/32 Scandi Recluse :D... similar but different...

Thanks guys, i fell in love with this combo when i saw that Hiking Buddy in the same config posted a while back in a thread. Phil mentioned he had a 5/32 TT matching Recluse on hand which shortly after showed up at Bladeco... i love it and had to have it....

Here's a quick one of my 5/32" TT friends both O1 as well.
Handyman got some quick patina from strawberry's, peppers, and onions. All the Arete has seen is wood and bacon.

I know what you mean. I had a tapered 5/32 Recluse and a 1/8 SFT recluse at the same time. The Recluse I have now is tapered 3/16 and it is my favorite so far. I love the neutral balance and ability to shift mass to the blade by dropping back on the handle for limbing cooking sticks and what have you.
