Big Mike

You have one of the early ones with the tang extension, nice!

Made an ugly kydex sheath for my S35VN Bushfinger by altering a Bark river Bravo-1 sheath that didn't fit that knife well (got a free replacement from my dealer and was told to keep the bad one :D)

The sad thing with S35VN is that it doesn't look used so all I have to show for a years pretty intense use is some scratches on the blade...

The 154CM is the same way, the Ladyfinger I have still looks new since it has never seen any rough use...just food prep in the kitchen :)

Sun came out today so I took the Bushfinger and Kephart on a hike down by the lake. Snow is melting off and the Fiddlebacks wanted to climb the trees.

I love ED Karda

The burlap is lightening up a bit. Nice character starting to show. Much more noticeable in person.

Thought I'd post these as it's probably the last time you and I will see this Runt. After seeing it with it's new RLo sheath, my wife said "OH HOW CUTE!" and immediately claimed them as her own. So I'm probably in the market for another Runt.

And just when it was starting to form a nice patina.

That burlap looks awesome! Obviously a well used and loved blade. The EDKarda is a great knife. Full sized handle so it's still easy to hold but small enough to carry in pocket.

Man, this new hiking buddy is incredible. I've had it right at about a week, and I've used it every day. It's cut up my daughter's lunch, trimmed her drinking straw at a restaurant so she wouldn't tip her cup over, cut out a ton of those one-time-use teeny tiny ponytail holders out of her hair, quartered three racks of ribs, sliced a bag of lemons for lemonade, been a pointer to lightly poke at a crab spider so that I could talk to my little girl about why they're important and we shouldn't step on them;), and opened at least a half a dozen stubborn packages.

In one week its gone from a nice satin finish with a very subtle splating at the shoulder of the bolster to full on patina. All I've had to do is give it a few pushes down an Arkansas stone from when i dinged the tip slightly into the concrete counter top while cutting up an onion and then gave it several passes on a loaded strop. She pops hair like it's not even there.

I can't stand to not have her in my pocket. Hell, this morning I was walking around in my flannel PJ pants with her in the quick and dirty pocket sheath I cobbled together in about 15 minutes. It's an ugly one and not fit for this little guardian angel, but I was in a hurry and didn't even have time to get to a drill press. Just cut the sheath body, slap in a welt, fold it over, and pound in some quick rivets:o

Next step is going to be to get Heber to make her a new pair of pants, but I think I might just wait on that until I get the funds together for a 14" machete so he can do both at the same time:)

My 2 Bushfingers. The S35VN has seen a lot more use, but doesn't look it:

The green one has a slimmer handle as well.
