Wow! That super macro is bad ass!!!

I have two new lens purchases coming up soon, one reason I am short on sharking money...but I really need these badly

What's impressive to me is that it's still taken with an iPhone. The sensor isn't very big, plus factor in being handheld and not having the faster shutter speeds of the DSLR.

Lenses are another one of those special purchases! I love my primes! I've got some nice zooms, but my 35mm and my 50mm macro are just amazing!

Hasco, the tailgate pic is a day in heaven. Great capture.

Nathan, you have one steady hand. Or do you use one of those Joby Gorillapods to help hold the phone steady? I've been thinking about one of those to help with my phone.

Handheld. I keep wanting to get a Gorillapod as well. Would save me from having to take a bunch of shots to get a good one. :)

The bulls-eye photo is awesome! Might be a new trend.

Hasco, I wish I had bought that HB when I had the chance, didn't realize it had a blue stripe. That's a sweet little knife, don't lose it in your pocket. :D At 2 ounces, probably easy to forget.

Yeah, I have several I need to find. I have been meaning to post them after talking about it in Dman's Leuku thread. It's fun to play with :)

That's a scene I could get into!

Ya know, I did really get into it at first. It was something new and exciting to explore and observe. All of the ice and frozen streams and rivers were beautiful. And some day, I'd like another shot at it under different circumstances. In the end, after four almost five months of subfreezing temps and higher than usual snow accumulation, last winter was just really harsh. The resilience of the stronger animals was very impressive, it took fortitude for them to survive that. But after a while, looking around at all of the death of the younger and weaker...unluckier creatures started getting to me, and it was just a bad year to be dealing with that along with all else that was going on. Yes, I'm totally cool with being here where it will only get down to the high teens for a short time, and unlikely to ever hit -39F wind chills at all, much less for five solid weeks. Hell at this point, with all I have planned and going on, spring cant get here fast enough to suit me, and it will be here long before it gets there :)

I can see where that would get to you. I don't think I could handle one extreme or the other. I enjoy the balance of four true seasons.
