• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

SAK Outrider, Opinel #8 or 9 (food prep only), NWA forum knife, and either a Fiskars hatchet or Bahco Laplander saw, depending on my mood.

Folder and fixed at least 6'' blade, at least 1/4'' thick, sometimes less than that. (If I already have a folder, I have no use for a small fixed blade)

Fixed blade of less than 6" and 1/4" thick on my belt. An SAK and Tact folder in my pockets, along with a folding saw in my pack. If I'm deeper in the back country I'll swap out my tact folder for a small fixed blade.

Oh my damn, I carry way too much stuff.

Leatherman Wave (Belt)
Spyderco Manix (Pocket)
Folding Silky Saw (Pack)
Ray Laconico 8" Fixed Blade (In/On my pack)
Smaller fixed blade of some kind (Belt)
Sometimes I carry a GB Wilderness hatchet in adition to the big fixed blade, sometimes I carry it instead of the big fixed blade. (Pack)

Hi all Here is I carry every day rain or shine, whether in the
timber or town. My Pathfinder has a 6" long by 5/32" blade.
And as of the last few days I have added to the back of the
sheath a knife I call the Handy Little Knife. This handy little
knife has a 4" long by 3/32" thick by roughly a 5/8" wide
blade. It is just a great back up blade to the bigger blade
and cuts like a handy little knife should. Both have Orange
handles and are full tang. Along with my firesteel and
my E-Z lap sharpener, this sytem just works for me.

Here is a couple of fuzz sticks I carved up with each knife.

if i'm going out about town i have a endura#4 in a belt pouch, a slip joint and a outrider sak. if scouting the backyard i strap on a becker bk-7 or a fallkniven s-1.

I always have one of two, either my Case Canoe or my Spyderco Delica.

I'll take a stab at it - Around the place these days, I almost always seem to have a Leatherman Wave and a BRKT TUSK. Always close by is something bigger, maybe a golok of some kind, or a khuk.

Last time I went camping I had a SAK Locksmith, a Mora 2000, and an HI 18" Pen Knife.

I choose slip joint folder for climbing rescue purpose. It will be hang from climbing harness.
Fixed blade will be chosen in case of doing rich(from my point of view ;) dinner for cooking.

Would you define "carry"? IOW, are we talking EDC, here, or something else?

Andy

I was wondering about this too,

In my pockets when I go to work. Kershaw Blur, Swisstech keychain folding pliers, and a large nail clippers. I lost my leatherman micra, need a new one.

But if i got to the field, some type of hatchet er few, small saw or fiskar folding saw, under 6 under 1/4 knife. plus stuff in pockets. this is in the truck. thinned down for walking around.

Where do I heck off my bill hook? Its ove a 1/4 thick and is an old one from england. chops brush good and make a very good makeshift drawknife for peeling bark off of wood. Pat

Great Googly Moogly!! :eek::eek:

I seem to be ... ridiculously, relentlessly, remorselessly ... average.
