You just never know. At 73 I find myself being a lot more cautious, but all it takes is one little slip. Hope you heal up completely and quickly.

I'm mid-70's now . This kind of accident probably won't have happened at all ,or at least done far less damage , to a much younger me .

Just gotta accept the reality of being more vulnerable and make adjustments , if possible .

Yes, indeed , I could easily have been severely injured or dead . I'm very thankful for that grace .

4 days ago , I fought the Law... and the Law WON !

Man you look as if you were hit by the business end of a Louisville Slugger I sure hope you heal well and quickly.
Boattale I hope you a speedy recovery as well.
This must be crash the old guys time of the year 6 weeks ago i stood up from my wheelchair lost my balance fell and messed my sholder up and I lost use of my left arm. Now I only have one working arm and I haven't been able to walk for years.

The Stones got the first line of this old song exactly right in 1965 on their Aftermath album.

Thanks for the well wishes ! ^^^Yeah ...at times , one heck of a drag ! ( Grew up with that kind of music and I still like it . )

But the only alternative to aging , is not very attractive either ...and very final .

My own recent injuries were not severe or permanent . More just a bit scary and shocking . Unexpected .

Never been that clumsy before . At least not stone cold sober ! Maybe have some balance problems , worse than I thought ?

I feel very blessed ,to be able to still get around (on a "good day") ; hiking the woods , with the help of a walking staff . Not fast .

Both arms still work , more or less . So , not much to cry about here , really !

So many are way worse off , shames me to complain . I got plenty to be giving thanks for ...and not just on Thanksgiving .
