Thanks!

As for music choices, it varies.

Hogging/Rough Grinding - Metallica

Detail Work - Alt Country - Robbie Fulks, Hank Williams III, etc

Hmm... it's usually going to be punk/ska/crust type stuff.... maybe some Choking Victim or Nino Zombi.... Strike Anywhere, Atrocity Solution... it's hard to say. Thanks Patrice!

Being a displaced Yankee, I can't get enough of the local blue grass bands. The local college station plays a lot of it.

Good timing on this question. Along with almost everything else, I use my iPhone for listening to music. I usually have it in my back pocket while I'm working, and have a set of bluetooth headphones buried under my safety glasses, respirator straps and baseball cap. A brief search of the magic iPhone tells me that I have been listening to the following recently (in semi-alphabetical order): Bob Marley, Calexico, Cracker, Flogging Molly, the Fratellis, the Gorillaz, Guster, the Hives, the Killers, Lamb, Leona Naess, Maritime, Matisyahu, Metric, Mohair, Muse, Nina Simone, Rancid, the Shins, Shivaree, Spacehog, the Strokes, Tegan & Sara, the Transplants, Travis, Wilco & the Yeah yeah yeahs. I also listen to a lot of Pandora radio over my phone... and you never know exactly what you might get there.:p

Wow!!!

That's exactly what I need today. I am working on a couple of knives. I have been using my vice and scrap steel with C-Clamps as a file guide.

I also don't listen to music in the shop ... may have to start. My kids did get me a flat screen TV that's usually on. I do have a couple of stereos laying around that the kids left behind when they moved out. If I was to play music it would be a little of everything, Zeppelin, Doors, Who, Queen, ZZ Top, Beatles, maybe David Gray, Dave Matthews. I also enjoy Country, Sugarland, Krauss, Urban, Chesney...

Thanks for the chance.

Dave

Thanks for the chance. I need one.

Old vinyl I bought in the '60s and'70s love those scratchs and pops.
Also I'm a big fan of Mark Knofler, Doc Watson, Chet Atkins,Guy Clark, Celtic, Jazz, Folk etc.
Just don't like newer country.

thanks for the chance.. Patrice

Shop music?
No radio in my garage, just the sweet sounds of my angle grinder. :)

Thanks for the chance!

Tan you!
I connect my iPod to the stereo and rotate
The music: metal, ska, punk, blues, regge
No fan of country but
Some of Johnny cash and some Mexican narco ballad.

Iphone on randon here as well, though lately I've been playing the new Jars of Clay and Switchfoot albums.

Other groups on the random cycle include Dave Matthews, Counting Crows, Smashing Pumpkings, Collective Soul, Iron and Wine, Coldplay, Pearl Jam, Dream Theater, The Killers, Live, Stavesacre, and Waterdeep. It's a pretty varied mix....

Thanks, Pad! That's a good looking little guide you've made. Hope you're having fun with that mill!

Thanks for the chance.

I've been listening to quite a bit of Deertick in the shop lately.

Thanks for doing this Patrice  count me in.

I have a pretty broad taste when it comes to music, I usually have my iPod on which at the moment has somewhere around 1300 songs on it or so and I just put it on shuffle. Going from mild to wild.... I have some classical music on there, Dean Martin, Harry Connick Jr, Jimmy Buffett and it goes up to Metallica and Anthrax on the harder side of things and everything in between.

I also have the complete albums of basically every AC/DC and Led Zeppelin on it as well.

Depends on my mood and what I'm actually working on, if the song fits, it stays. If not I just click it to the next song.

Please count me in... and thanks for the opportunity! Typically I play a lot of AC/DC, Van Halen, George Thorogood and the Destroyers, Queen, Black Sabbath, Lynerd Skyner, ZZ Top, Led Zepplin, the Doors, the Guess Who and BTO.

You know, all of the relaxing stuff... :-)
