Finally daggers I like!

One of my life's regrets is not ordering an Ek Commando M4 (doubled edge, micarta handles) from Bob Buerlein back in the day....

I have handled the Kabar Ek versions.... have to admit I was not particularly impressed, just didn't feel very alive in my hands.

At one time in the mid 1980's I had about forty Mark II's and probably 200 other vintage Gerbers. I only have a few now and they are not the really valuable ones, just a few nice looking examples. And a few pretty rare ones.

Bob's son Ross and mine were classmates in grade school. They were on the basketball team together one year. I believe his son is a medical doctor now.

Bob used to drive a Studebaker Avanti, a rather uncommon car. Back then, I wasn't aware of what he did for a living.
