Finally got a microscope

Just got some images of Kapara s90v and military 2 15v edges and tips. These are brand new and have never touched anything since I got them. Scopes are nice to see what is going on if you sharpen your own or want to inspect very very close up.

Is that a microbevel for the mil2? Or just light?

Looks like a micro bevel to me. The light was directly above and I did position each blade flat and turned in the same direction to try and get best image. I’m disappointed in the points,they could have done better on these. This is a nice point!

Explains why they have to be sharpened out of the box for best performance.


Burr, convexity, fatigue.

Interesting seeing such large carbides. Particle metallurgy makes a difference.
