Finally hit the water

Thanks for the pics Tonym. I need to get out soon. By the looks of things, I won't be able to pound the water 'til the 17th.

I'll be taking 6 or 7 rods with me too :p. I picked up two new rods and reels at Cabelas recently. Don't even have 'em spooled yet. Thats on the to-do list for tomorrow.

Crappie will probably be the target next weekend but that could change. I'll be sure to take the camera too.

Chris

Looks like great fun Tony!! I am about to explode waiting to "wet a line"! I didn't get to go any last year...not even once. I have a nice 18 acre farm pond stocked with all the southern goodies south of me and about 10 of the same kinds of ponds norht of me...
again..bout...to....EX>.....PLODE! :D

Get out there fellas! Tight lines to all:thumbup:

I'm want to start an 09 Fishing pic thread. Should I??

The Baby Brush Hog, one of my favs for smallmouth. What crankbait is that?

The Zoom Baby Brush hog is my all around confidence lure! It is deadly during the prespawn and spawn, but I'll use it sucessfuly all season long. You will never see me with out one on 1 of my rods.

That crank is from a new company. They just came out with them this year. They have a beautiful life like finish on them and an amazing action.
A lil pricey at $15 +, but worth it.

I scored 4 at the Fishing expo last month. :) Gottem for $10 a piece:cool:
Here's a linky:thumbup:

Great pics Tony! I've got a week off from work coming up and I'm making some time to get my canoe wet for the first time this year. I'm also going to get my fishing license for the first time in too many years. My plan is to introduce my 2 year old to angling. Your thread is getting me all excited to get out there.

Thanks guys! Get on out there and bend some poles!

Then be sure to post your catch in the 09 Fishing pic thread!

P.B. thats great you're starting your child young! Sunfish are a sure bet to put a smile on his/her face!

Make sure you post some pics, when you hook up bro!

That John boat is made by Alumicraft., I have a Lund as well, as a couple of Landau's as well. As long as they are extra wide, they are all good.

The Lund is a lil Heavy though, I usually don't fish that one when I'm alone...

@Stingray- You boys out in Cali have some HUGE Bass lakes. Some produce Bass in the 14lb- 18lb range rather steadily:eek:

I am about a half an hour from Clear Lake which is a good Big Bass fishery. Most of the Big Bass lakes are in So Cal. Mainly San Diego county plus Castaic. There is the Delta which is in Nor Cal.

If I fish bass anymore its generally just farm ponds, or trespassing a golf coarse. Not enough salt in the that lake water for me to devote a whole day.

Thanks for the pics.

Matt
