I finished the sword I posted while it was in the works . As some suspected it is a mini Naval Cutlass. OAL is 4". Blade is damascus, forged to mini scale. Guard is 14K yellow gold, handle is mammoth ivory wrapped with twisted platinum wire. The back strap is 14K red gold. Pommel nut is 14K white gold and threads on the tang, 6/0 threads. The blade is fully hardened and tempered, and is wicked sharp.
Enjoy - Stacy

Fantastic mini-sword Stacy!

My co-workers were also very impressed, and they aren't really "knife people". -Matt-

When I saw the first post I immediatly thought of your mini's in the 'Knives' annuals and your micro belt sander.:D:D Great piece, and great detail! Thanks for sharing!:thumbup:

Amazing especially for the size. From my few folders I know smaller is harder and I can't even imagine. Make someone a very interesting conversation piece. A jeweler knifemaker metalsmith artist.

Stacy

You're a talented SOB.
Nice work.
I especially love how the scale of the pattern matches the piece.
I have seen a lot of miniatures that forget that part.

Yes, I am making an Argentum (sterling alloy) and gold scabard.

Looks great from here Stacy! Let me know hoe the argentum works out. I've been thinking of it as a liner for some rings that will someday get made...
