Hi Guys,
This is not my blade. It was made by a friend of mine (Bob Ouellette) up in South Carolina. He has been studying at the American College of the Building Arts (studying blacksmithing) for the last several years and is also South Carolina National Guard and JUST got back from AIT. He hasn't had a chance to find employment yet, so he is being very frugal right now (smart guy) and I told him I'd post this blade since he doesn't have an account here yet. I hope this doesn't violate any rules, but I'm more concerned about helping my fellow American.
The blade is 1084 edge quenched in veg oil. The spine and ricasso were left fire finished and the handle is bubinga/walnut/elk antler secured with a steel pin. The blade face is hand rubbed to 400 grit. The S-guard is mild steel.
Here are the specs:
OAL: 10 1/4"
Cutting edge: 4 1/2"
Blade width: 1"
Thickness: 3/16" at ricasso with distal taper
He is asking $200.
Thanks for looking,
Jeremy
