First Blade Pre-HT: Ready?

If you dont have a way to heat treat your blade I will do it for you. I can show how good the PBC works.

Hey rotation, the plunge is where the blade grind begins - where the ricasso (hope I'm using that term correctly) changes into the blade. If you look at the third picture from the top, it is on the very left of the picture, where I began filing the bevels. Hope this answers your question.
 
Hey Bruce. Thanks for the comments. And no, you didn't put a damper on this thread. I had a final to write today, and so I haven't had time to check back in the last few days.

As for the heat treat? Originally I planned to send it off to a heat treating service; I later realized that not many places do oil hardening steels anymore:rolleyes: I posted this thread to see if any corrections needed to be made before heat treat, and then I was going to ask around and see if anyone was willing to help.

If you'd be willing and it wasn't too much trouble that'd be fantastic! Email on its way!
