First cnc batch, come on in

JT - i would like in on this with four 6.6 inch knives. Do you still have space/time for that addition?

Done - Thank you! Tried to create a DXF file to save you CAD work, but I am a neophyte at that ... so might not have come through correctly. dimensions are in my order. otherwise supplied a scan with dimensions.
Thank you again!

All the blades are cut and ready for de-slaging.

Holes came out rather nice.

I tweaked the cut path and I’m real happy with the reduced heat at the tip.

JT - you indicated these will end up coming to us heat treated ... but are they just fully hardened and not tempered (that being left to us), or are they also tempered?

"Heat Treated" includes tempering

"Heat Treated" includes tempering
I know it does ... but as tempering is a secondary process separate from heating/quenching to full hardness, and what temperature you temper to affects final hardness, and JT’s original statement did not state a target hardness ... i simply was hoping to clarify the status of the material.

Yes the target hardness selection was there, but I was/am not sure if in this trial run JT is willing to take take the expense to separately process each of the orders, as this is an incredibly low price as it is. Guys - i should not need to defend my question .. i was only asking JT to clarify...

People are just answering your question.

I allways temper every blade. After the quench thy all get a first temper at the same temp. This sets the base line for surface grinding and hardness testing. The thy will get surface ground and then hardness tested. Blades will get devided up into same hardness batches and will be tempered to the requested hardness. Thy will then be packaged up and shipped out. I hope this answers your question.

It does - thank you. That is really going the extra mile for this trial batch at such a low price. Thank you again :) !

You are very welcome. Above everything else my goal is to make you the customer happy. Back when we first started and I was struggling with AEBL I would spend so much time straightening bowed blades. We almost called it quits a few times. Never made any money but to me that was not the point. My gole is to treat your blades as I would treat my own. It’s the “built it and thy will come” situation. We have come along way and it’s all because of you guys. Thank you - JT

jt, do you mind if i steal one of those pics for my forum?
