It looks good. For some reason it reminds me of one of those tall skinny native sculptures, if you stood it on end and took a silhouette.. just sayin' kinda cool.
 
You are right, it is a smidge off. I think these pin holes were pre- drill press for me, so I had some wondering with my hand drill...

If you don't have a punch you can take a worn our Robertson screwdriver bit, the hex type, and sharpen it up into a punch, they are generally pretty hard and will usually make a good punch.

You know it is funny because I did use a punch, but my bit was still wondering off a lot. I am guessing that the bit I used was probably dull?

Could be a dull bit or if the sharpening is not bang-on even on both sides they tend to wander more.
 
It is nice to see that there are other knife nuts in Stockton! Nice job on your first knife.:thumbup: Now go make another one !
